A look at the housing plots of Founder’s Point

With the WoW Midnight alpha in full swing, a lot of images and videos have come out of the different housing neighborhoods, but it can be tricky to tell exactly which plot you’d like to call home sweet home until you get a closer look at it. While we can’t give everyone access to come romp in the alpha, we can show you all the housing plots in the beautiful Alliance neighborhood of Founder’s Point, a lovely island with bits of Elwynn Forest, Westfall, Redridge Mountains, and even Duskwood in there for variety. (Want to live in a permanently-dark cemetery? Plot 20 is for you.)

You can click on any of the images below to open it up in a larger size, letting you really give these potential homes the Zillow treatment and decide if it’s just right for you or if you’ll be looking for something a little cozier. Note that despite how it may look in some of these, all of these plots are exactly the same size — though some will have more space outside the property, or interesting features outside the plot itself that may sway your decision.

Want to see the Horde neighborhood, Razorwind Shores? We have a rundown of that too.

Also, if the order of these seems jumbled: the housing plot number has absolutely nothing to do with its position on the island. Instead, intrepid staff screenshotter and alpha house hunter Elizabeth Harper started off on the top-left side of Founder’s Point, working her way across and down.

Plot #24 finds itself isolated from the other beach neighborhood houses on the west side, with stairs leading down to the rest; it has ocean views on two sides.

Plot #43 lies inland — and above — the other beach houses, and backs up against a cliff with farmland in the distance.

Plot #28 is perched upon a bluff above the western beach, with paths to the left and right side down to the shore.

Plot #40 is a bit more neighborly, being on the western beach in a cluster of four homes with the next four plots.

Plot #4 is an inland plot near the beach, the second in a cluster of four homes.

Plot #25 is also on the western beach, third in a cluster of four homes.

Plot #12 is farthest point west on the western beach in a cluster of four homes.

Plot #29 lies just inland of the western beach, next to a dock — perfect for fishing.

Plot #19 lies inland of the western beach, next to a gazebo, on a cul-de-sac with #50 and #52. The ground looks a little weird here in the alpha, but it’s probably a visual bug.

Plot #50 is on a cul-de-sac with #19 and #52. The tower and buildings in the distance are public space, not player homes — but they do make for some striking scenery!

Plot #52 lies below some farms with a distant view of the shore; it’s on a cul-de-sac with #19 and #50.

Plot #34 is inland but still with a pleasant ocean view, adjacent to a farm.

Plot #45 farm-adjacent — because they’re the neighbor to #34 — just up a small set of wooden stairs.

Plot #39 is the spot for you if you want to live in the heart of a cozy little Alliance farm; the adjacent buildings are NPC farms. (Currently, you can’t even go inside of them!)

Plot #42 lies just outside of the farm area, and may be the spot if you’re looking to be a hermit in the woods — it’s somewhat isolated by itself at the end of a path, and so surrounded by trees that it was hard to get a screenshot of at all.

Plot #9 is on a cul-de-sac with plots #44, #7, and #27, and lies close to the town at the heart of Founder’s Point.

Plot #27 is on the cul-de-sac with #44 and company, but offers some more interesting neighboring features — it’s got water on two sides and a cool log.

Plot #44 on the cul-de-sac is for when you want neighbors, but not too many random passersby — it’s the farthest from the road of the four.

Plot #7 is both on the cul-de-sac and next to a stream, and is also the closest to the dye station — 7 seconds by steady flight.

Plot #47 and their neighbor at #51 are the second closest houses to the dye station. However, #47 offers both a waterfall and neighboring cows. Hard to pass that up.

Plot #51 is the neighbors to #47 and their cows, and is another plot that offers a dock behind the house itself.

Plot #48 is one of the houses at the top of the waterfall you’ve seen in Blizzard’s screenshots of Founder’s Point; unfortunately, while you do have one of the higher perches in the neighborhood, with great views when you’re standing on your lawn, you can’t see either the waterfall or the rainbow that forms there from this plot.

Plot #53 is the other house at the top of the large waterfall; the views are less impressive, but you’ve got a lot more foliage.

Plot #13 lies on a lower cliff than #48, and is just to the south of it. Amenities include a path to the shore and a public apple orchard.

Plot #14 is neighbors with both #36 and an apple orchard, on a low hill above the beach.

Plot #36 is peak autumn vibes; it’s on a hill above the shore with paths to the beach.

Plot #5 is possibly also peak autumn vibes; you have a good view of the lighthouse and you’re still adjacent to an orchard.

Plot #35 is honestly hard to beat. There’s ocean views, there’s a path to the shore, and there’s the best view of the lighthouse in the district. It even has a flight path right behind the house!

Plot #30 is adjacent to a farmhouse with grazing sheep; you can’t go into the farmhouse, but you can go into their creepy empty basement for some reason.

Plot #1 continues the trend of plots for animal lovers; the pond behind the house sees grazing horses come to visit.

Plot #26 backs up against an open-air market and a tavern with a beer garden. You can’t go inside the tavern, unfortunately.

Plot #37 is also adjacent to the tavern, just down the road from the market. It’s also across the bridge from the permanently-nighttime views of the Duskwood-like part of Founder’s Point. It also evidently has a path down to the shore featuring otters.

Plot #46 is part of an unassuming cluster of three houses close to town. Has a cute little waterfall.

Plot #54 is part of that same cluster of three houses, and also offers a view of the cute little waterfall.

Plot #49 is the third in the cluster near the waterfall, situated close to town.

Plot #16 and its neighbor #11 are very close to the spooky Duskwood-style area; in fact, #16 backs right up against it, for when you need an instant dose of Hallow’s End in your life.

Plot #11, like #16, backs up against the spooky woods — but it’s also got a dock behind the house!

Plot #31 in a nutshell: I hope you like majestic waterfalls, because there’s a second one on the other side of the house. (Is it just me or do these more mountainous parts also kinda give Stormheim vibes?)

Plot #23 is also home to majestic waterfall views, just in case you have your heart set on #31 but your guildmate snatches it up.

Plot #3 is also blessed with waterfall views, and just to the right of this shot is the path down to the spooky woods part of town.

Plot #22 has a cool tower in the back yard, and a waterfall on the opposite side. This might be one of my personal favorites.

Plot #32 is the tippy-top of the neighborhood; in addition to sharing the majestic waterfalls with the previous plots, you’re also literally at the highest possible elevation.

Plot #0 is on the outskirts of the spooky part of town. Neighbors with #17 and also three NPC homes, all with lights and small docks; sometimes, you’ll find the NPCs fishing. There’s even a smaller waterfall, truly making this a picturesque plot.

Plot #17 is basically #0 without a good view of the waterfall. If that doesn’t bother you, you might like this one, too.

Plot #6, with its own petite waterfall, is just outside of the cemetery.

Plot #21 is another one that’s great for hermits or introverts; perched up on a hill at the far end of the spooky side of town, it’s one of the most isolated plots.

Plot #38 is cemetery adjacent; you also have living neighbors, too, in the form of a small lit NPC house just down the ridge.

Plot #20 is literally inside a cemetery. Live out your best gravekeeper life. Surprisingly not isolated; #38 is just outside your fence.

Plot #41 is another one of those very isolated plots; it’s on the far south of the Duskwood-like area, at the top of a cliff. A long path behind the house leads to a cave where some NPCs are moving crates around in what is definitely a perfectly legitimate business and not piracy at all, why would you even bring up piracy? There’s also a decor vendor down there.

Plot #18 is also cemetery adjacent, but offers a number of other distinct features — there’s a path down the cliff that goes to a small dock on one side and the perfectly legitimate cave business mentioned in #41 on the other. There’s also a tower with a viewing platform to your left; nothing else inside, but maybe you like looking out at the perpetual nighttime that falls when you’re on this side of the island. I won’t judge.

Plot #8 is just down from the tower next to #18; it’s across from the cemetery but most of the spookiness is from the trees in your vicinity. Cute sitting area behind the house at the top of the cliffs looking towards the lighthouse.

Plot #10 is near the edge of the spooky plots, next to a path leading to an almost elf-inspired area — it’s got a moonwell and everything. The bridge next to it leads to the tavern. On the other side, at the top of the cliffs, you have a nice view of shipwrecks in the distance.

Plot #2 is on a hill above the elf area, with a massive tree shading a very nice gazebo. Up the hill in this shot, you can see #33.

Plot #33 is cemetery adjacent, and also next door to the NPC gravedigger who evidently maintains the place — there’s coffins, shovels, and tombstones outside their place.

Plot #15, last but certainly not least, is on the border of the spooky spots and the elf area, up on a cliff with a path leading down from the former to the latter. It’s also next to a stream that keeps Duskwood Lite separated from the rest of Founder’s Point, with a dock.

So which of these plots are you hoping to snatch up for yourself with the launch of housing – or are you more of a Razorwind Shores sort of person?
