The Queue: A brand new-ish car!
It’s the most money I’ve ever spent at once!
Now I’m the proud owner of a 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe, and it has all sorts of decadent features like remote start and a heated steering wheel — which is just the most absurd thing that I assume I’ll never be able to live without now.
I hope to have many good years of driving with my new car. It’ll need a name, of course, but I figured I’d give it a week and see what comes to mind.
While I noodle on a name, it’s time for our daily question and answer column — The Queue!
Diablo Q4tQ: for anyone who’s playing this season, what’s your highest killstreak? I think I hit 670 once. 😁
I managed to break 1000 once. Just once.
It was in the Kurast Undercity, and I managed to barely find enough things to kill to hit the one thousand. I was sweating around 970, but managed to scrounge together a couple more groups of flies or maggots and it all worked out. I even managed to finish the run, so it all worked out.
There’s a tier for getting 9000 plus, I’ve heard. Which seems impossible. There is no way you’re getting that many things inside of a dungeon, which means you’d have to chain 9000 kills in the open world, which could be doable with the right route, or one random Druid could really ruin your day.
I do enjoy the mechanic, even if it adds a certain go-go-go to the whole thing that has gotten in the way of checking new drops or the map sometimes. I hope that they pull this forward and make it a baseline for the next expansion. There’s nothing saying that Bloody Gear couldn’t carry forward as well. We could lose the fresh meat currency for buying it and make it a second thing you could spend Obols on.
I’ve always thought it was weird that Diablo 4 didn’t have the kill streaks in it from launch. This is their chance to fix it!
Stuck between the very strong urge to just binge the entire second season of One Piece in one go, and taking it kind of slow to make it last longer >.<
I will binge things too quickly if they’re all dropping at once. The weekly release really saves me from myself.
It also has all sorts of fringe benefits like letting the audience grow organically as more people have a chance to watch it episodically, and can talk about it — without fear of spoiling someone. All too often, if something drops all at once, the person who binges it all first will just not talk about it because they don’t want to spoil anything for anyone, and then momentum will be lost. If it’s just a couple of episodes, you can more freely talk about cool moments, safe in the knowledge that it’ll all pay off bigger in the end. An appetizer spoiler to build hunger for the real meal, if you will.
I also liked the first season of One Piece, although I did find myself not liking the more out-there anime nonsense, so I will probably watch some of the second season at some point.
Pie Day!
Every day can be Pie Day if you live near a bakery! Or if you take up baking yourself.
Heh. You can land on the Ethereal skiffs flying around Voidstorm, and fight the pilot while it flies around the zone.
This is the most action movie nonsense since they put a whole boss fight on a moving train!
Q4tQ: Prey in dungeons?
Only when the tank loses aggro.

Bacardi today is breaking out of his normal role and giving you a choice.
Would you rather
Take the clear plastic white controller and return to a simpler time of see-through technology
Or
Take the DOOM controller and see how far down the rabbit hole you can kill demons
Today’s Anna Earworm™: Cabaret
Have yourselves a great week, everybody! If you don’t, I’ll know, and I’ll be so disappointed. I’ll also be disappointed if you don’t leave Anna lots of questions for her queue tomorrow, so get to asking!
