The Queue: Playing Diablo with the Doom Soundtrack on

I understand that it may not be to everyone’s tastes, but personally, I can’t come up with anything I’m enjoying more in my convalescence than a rousing game of pretending the Doom Slayer crashed onto Sanctuary somehow and is now showing an entirely new set of demons why the only thing they should fear is me.

It’s the Queue, everyone.

While the ability to hide weapons in transmog is awesome, the ability to swap between back and side sheathing is also cool. My BElf mage wants to use the mage mount & Fel’molarn (sp?) but it drives me nuts with the side-sheathed sword sticking all the way through the mount. Now she can sheathe it on the back!

Honestly, I’ve known players would would refuse to use a weapon (back before transmog existed) entirely because of where it sheathed. I’m personally looking forward to seeing if I can sheath 2h weapons on the side and wander around acting like two Ashkandi look normal sticking four feet out from my hips.

Oh right.
It’s Internet Lies To You Day.
I mean, more so than usual.

I’m already irritable because my mouse is busted and I’m having to be very careful with it trying to get it across the finish line (while sitting here with a Darco boot on my ghastly wounded trotter) so stumbling upon joke posts that are just we say a ridiculous thing in a way that gets you to believe it until you check the date is low on the divert mental power to the shields scale.

And yes, I hear that in James Doohan’s voice.

One note for those doing March on Quel’Danas. After you clear it, you can talk to Arator to leave the instance.

For whatever reason Arator does not teleport you out to the raid entrance (green arrow), but to that central courtyard, where you access the Sunwell in the outdoor world map (red arrow).

And depending on how much of the campaign you’ve done, that will get you killed because there will be all of those hostile void npcs right where you spawn in.

I realize this would royally upset me were it to happen to me, but I really do have to complement Arator on some excellent post raid teleport trolling here. This is worthy of some of the finest and most fiendish Mages I’ve known who loved playing Teleport the suckers to Dalaran crater back in the day.

What’s it like in Orgrimmar now? Stormwind is a pretty empty place currently (barring everyone going over to the Timewalking NPCs this week)

I just popped in yesterday and it was actually fairly crowded. I was actually surprised.

If not for the difficulty I have sitting at my desk with the big hole in my foot I’d probably have done some questing, just because I was excited.

QftQ: Why is Blizzard so fond of uterus caves?

Why is real life so fond of uterus caves?

One could as well ask why do trains and rockets often find themselves resembling a certain part of the reproductive panoply — one could argue that a cave that wasn’t shaped that way would be a hill or a plateau or some other topographical feature. A tell? Naah that’s man made.

I mean, sure, some times it’s hard not to wonder why certain cave features in games look so very like wombs, I get that. But I’ve seen structures in games look so much like an anatomical feature that it felt impossible to be accidental. And I’m not talking about player created stuff. We all know that person with a Minecraft setting that’s a deliberate forest of Richards. But ultimately, some shapes just work for some things.

Well, attempting a delicate but forthright discussion of why some caves look like wombs felt like a physical achievement. That’s the Queue, y’all.
