The decks you need to win the Shadow Towers Hearthstone Tavern Brawl
We have a very old Hearthstone Tavern Brawl returning this week: the Shadow Towers were last seen ten years ago! But this ancient Brawl has very simple rules that still fit perfectly in the modern days: your minions have stealth on the turn they’re played. That’s it. Simple, but is it still game-changing enough these days?
So read on to learn more about this Wild Brawl where the power of your decks might end up mattering far more than a single mechanic that doesn’t really impact the game all that much anymore.

Tavern Brawl basics
Name: Shadow Towers Tavern Brawl
Description: Who lurks in the shadowy towers? You do! Skulking behind the Towers’ sturdy walls, your minions have stealth their first turn.
Fun level: 6/10
Difficulty: 6/10
Replayability: 5/10
Format: Wild
Type: PVP
Rewards: 1 Cataclysm card pack
You start the game with 10 armor, so your health total for this game is 30 + 10. The main gimmick is simply that any minion you play gains Stealth that turn, so your opponent won’t be able to interact directly with that minion — though keep in mind that, especially later in the game, effects like spells that destroy random minions or deal damage to all minions might still be able to target your minions even if they’re stealthed.
This style of game seems to create an environment where aggressive decks can thrive. You can play a lot of cheap minions early on and make sure they can’t be attacked. Token decks, in general, might do well in this Brawl. But since the game mode is Wild, we do have to keep in mind that there are several very strong decks that can pretty much ignore the gimmick of this Brawl and just work very well regardless of any stealthed minions. We’ll suggest some of those decks below.

The decks you need to win Hearthstone’s Shadow Towers Tavern Brawl
Here are a few deck options for you to try out. If you’re not sure how to use deck codes, we have a handy guide for that.
Discard Warlock (Discolock)

- Deck code:

- This deck is a real powerhouse on the Wild ladder. Warlock has so many effects that let you discard cards in your hand and gain enormous power from it. You’ll be drowning in cards that you can draw, summoning lots of minions on your board, and buffing them, with little to no effort. The onus is on your opponent to catch up, and their stealthed minions might not even enter this equation!
Seed Warlock

- The idea here is to complete your Questline, The Demon Seed, which requires you to take damage on your turns. Not only do you have several cards that let you achieve that quickly, you also have other cards that play off the fact that your health is low, such as Flesh Giant and Molten Giant. And you have some ways to heal yourself too. It’s the full package.

Call to Arms Paladin

- Deck code:

- Although this is a Wild deck, it feels like modern Paladin in playstyle, and even share many cards with Standard Paladin decks. The idea is to flood your board with minions, whether they’re your powerful 1-cost minions or minions you summon from other effects. Call to Arms was a very powerful card when it was in Standard, and it remains so in Wild — so much that you can almost build an entire deck around it.
Boar Hunter

- Ahhh, the elusive Elwynn Boar. Kill it enough times, and you might just find a ridiculously powerful sword of legend that lets you destroy your opponent with ease. So goes the legend, at least, and this Hunter deck tries to replicate it by making copies of the Boars in your deck, summoning them over and over, and reviving them as many times as it takes. It’s a really fun deck, and powerful too.
Hopefully you can find a good deck in this list that you can pilot to climb these Shadow Towers and plant your flag at the top!
