It’s a big Tuesday maintenance for (some) World of Warcraft servers with the launch of patch 12.0.7

This week’s World of Warcraft maintenance is a quick one for many players, but a patch is rolling out for Midnight servers that will keep the realms offline all day. If maintenance goes as scheduled, Classic realms will be offline for a quick hour, while Midnight realms will be offline through 3pm pacific (6pm eastern). It’s gonna be a long wait to check your vaults, so hang in there everybody.

Here’s the WoW maintenance schedule for Tuesday, June 16:

  • Midnight: Offline from 7am – 3pm pacific (10am – 6pm eastern)
  • Mists of Pandaria Classic: Offline from 7am – 8am pacific (10am – 11am eastern)
  • WoW Classic (including Classic Era, Season of Discovery, and Hardcore realms): Offline from 7am – 8am pacific (10am – 11am eastern)
  • The Burning Crusade Classic Anniversary realms: Offline from 7am – 8am pacific (10am – 11am eastern)

WoW Classic servers are back online, while Midnight servers remain down for maintenance.

There’s nothing scheduled for any of the Classic realms this week, but Midnight is rolling out patch 12.0.7. Though the x.7 patches are minor patches, this one is pretty packed. The new patch will add:

  • Void Showdowns, an event in which we once again go to fight off the void. It includes a somewhat unimpressive heroic mode to allow you to tweak the difficulty.
  • The Omnium Folio, a new power progression system, brought to you by everyone’s favorite bickering elves, Rommath and Umbric.
  • Sporefall, a single-boss raid.
  • Lorewalking for Loas, giving us a fresh look at some classic Troll storylines.
  • Two new Troll-related questlines, one featuring Jan’alai’s latest clutch of eggs, and the other featuring Zul’jan and his uncle Kinduru as they’re drawn into a mystery surrounding the Amani’s history.
  • Turbulent Timeways returns at the end of the month, including new Dragonflight Timewalking and new rewards.
  • Exterior lighting for player housing, plus new housing decor items.
  • The ability to spend multiple Shards of Dundun on your Abundance runs as reward multipliers, so you don’t have to run it eight times a week to max out rewards.
  • A change to weapon durability that should reduce all of our repair costs. (Thank goodness.)

And that list is just the most notable features; there’s even more in this patch. Once again, even the small patches can keep our to-do lists full.

There’s also a new Twitch Drop launching today for another variant color of the murloc plushie housing decor item, in bright pink and blue. You can start earning this cutie before the Midnight servers are up by watching Classic streamers starting at 10am pacific / 1pm eastern. You need to watch for four hours to claim your new prize, so if you’re dedicated you can have it before the servers are back online to make use of it.

But for now, there’s nothing to do but wait it out. If you can’t deal with life without Warcraft today, at least the Classic realms should be back online soon. I’ll keep you updated with the latest news on WoW server status right here, and let you know when the servers come back online.

Stay tuned, and hopefully I’ll see you in Azeroth soon.
