Diablo 4 coming Nintendo Switch 2 September 15

At BlizzCon 2026, The Diablo team announced that Diablo 4 will be coming to Switch 2 on September 15. This accompanies the release of the next season, where we’ll be traveling with Deckard Cain for the Season of Hell’s Legacy.

Since launch, Diablo 4 has kept up with console releases; both PlayStation and Xbox versions of Diablo 4 came out with the main game, and expansions have launched on those consoles exactly when they have on PC. But since the launch of the Switch 2 in June 2025, we’ve heard nothing from the Diablo team about launching on the latest console. Despite quick PlayStation and Xbox launches, delays on Nintendo consoles aren’t new — Diablo 3 took over a year and a half to launch on Switch after the console was released, and the game didn’t perform particularly well on the console until a few patches improved graphical fidelity and game performance. Despite Diablo 3’s slow release on the original Switch, Diablo 4 coming out for the Switch 2 seemed an inevitability. And now, as it turns out, it is! It will come to the console with Season of Hell’s Legacy

Hearing the words “Switch 2” and “Diablo 4” at BlizzCon 2026 was just one piece of good news in a whole slew of the same. If, of course, your idea of good news includes a whole lot of gore and demons — now, in a nice little portable package. Keep your eyes peeled here for more updates during BlizzCon. See you in Sanctuary!
