The Queue: Mean Girl

It’s funny, sometimes I try to be so nice, especially to the posters who need it, and then sometimes, well. I just can’t help it if I have such good advice, but this column is really popular, kinda like me, so you’ll need to wait.

This is The Queue, our daily column where you ask us the questions and we’ll probably get to answering, but we get like, so many questions, so.

The Queue: Into the thick of it

While I understand I was gone for two weeks I’m still amazed by the sheer number of events I missed while I was on vacation. I have over 500 unread emails in my marketing/promotional inbox alone, and every single communique from the upcoming school year is in triplicate, as the apps they insist on using also send out an email blast for each message, plus a digest. And that’s before I get into the good stuff I need to interact with. Well, I always was a jump right in kind of girl. Here’s hoping I have enough RAM for the number of chrome tabs I’m about to open.

This is The Queue, our daily column where you ask us the questions and hopefully they aren’t caught in the filter as I start deleting stuff (but you get it, right?).

The Queue: What’d I Miss?

I went on vacation last Saturday, and we’ve had a great time, going to Niagara Falls on a train, hitting up with Adirondacks for some outdoorsy fun. We even went swimming in a waterfall! I’ve been largely out of the loop in terms of information, but I’m sure there’s not a lot of stuff that happened I need to catch up on.

This is The Queue, our daily column where you ask us the questions and we’re going to take a great big swig of water before we look at them.

The Queue: Ambient Noise

Over time I’ve started really leaning in to ambient noise soundtracks while I’m working. I’ve done this for a long time, just keeping WoW open while I double check things, so I get all the little chimes from nearby lanterns, or the occasional jingling of horsetack in certain towns and cities. However, now it’s becoming a real necessity for–

Wait, what was I saying? Oh, right, I use the birds chirping soundtrack in Spirit City a lot, and Plant Daddy, also just those youtube videos intended for cats with ambient outdoor noise. Having something neutral like that really helps me focus, when I’m being asked by my kids for–

This is The Queue, the daily column where you ask us questions and we’ll give you goldfish crackers right after we get the kids some answers. No, wait. Other way. I think? Did you…? Okay, no, yeah, I’ll be with you in a second.
