As I gear up for a Tuesday where there’s a lot of small things happening to attend to but nothing major, so I’m a little overwhelmed but I can muscle through, I am reminded, once again, that I am a jinx and of course more things will explode today.

This is The Queue, where you ask us questions and we answer just as soon as we figure out what in the (pirate ghost) is going on.

Now, I’m not usually one for the laws of attraction or manifestation or whatever, but it always feels like a wasted opportunity to me if it’s really cold out and it doesn’t snow. So.

I don’t know why nobody informed me that Cozy Grove is by far the best, most me game ever, but everyone who didn’t make me buy this game earlier is fired. Anna Washenko is safe. The rest of you? Fired.

Between holiday weirdness and a general creeping malaise, I literally had no idea that yesterday was Monday until after dinner. Everything in my house is both figuratively and literally a mess. It’s supposed to be a high of 70F with thunderstorms today, in what I think is probably still December. In the distance, sirens.

In a bit of an ironic twist, as we begin the kids’ holiday week off school — where the days stretch into nights, both stretching into infinity — it’s also the longest night of the year in my hemisphere. I hope The Queue stays warm tonight. It’s gonna be a long one.

Did you ever recommend a game a whole lot to (almost) literally everyone, and then they immediately turn around and recommend a different game to you, but you’re already busy playing the game you keep telling (almost) literally everyone to play that you really don’t want to play their game? And yes, even the standalone content, like the soundtrack, is superb to the extent it gives you frisson chills, and gives you a real sense of the game to boot? And then everyone else is like, “but Bugsnax is so fun!” and you’re just real tired all of a sudden?

This is the worst holiday, both in real life and in WoW. Mashed potatoes and mac and cheese are fine and dandy but I can make those any day of the year without the additional pressure of a holiday. Even the media celebrating it is the actual worst.
