All of the books coming to Dungeons and Dragons in 2023 and beyond
It's a big year for Dungeons & Dragons, with a total of five new D&D books scheduled for 2023 as well as the soon-to-be-released Honor Among Thieves movie.
What do you consider to be the difference between an MMO and a live-service RPG?
I've been thinking more and more about the question -- "Is Diablo 4 an MMO?" -- since I currently play World of Warcraft, am pretty heavily invested in Diablo 3, was into Diablo Immortal for a couple of months there, and was just utterly charmed by the open beta for Diablo 4.
Why was the Diablo 4 open beta so awesome?
Well, I liked the Diablo 4 open beta, anyway.
The Queue: Time flies when you forget what day it is
It’s Thursday. Whoo boy, that was almost very embarrassing.
What? No, you almost forgot to write the Queue because for some reason you thought it was Wednesday.
Time to crank The Only Thing They Fear Is You and write this bad boy as fast as I can.
How does the tone of a game affect your enjoyment of it, and how much should a series’ tone shift over time?
There's an argument that the art direction of Diablo 3 was too 'light' -- an argument I find strange because there are still mounds of corpses, blood and gore strewn across walls and floors, and whole hosts of demons exploding out of every corner to destroy and consume all things.
When is a WoW patch 10.3?
Blizzard has an ambitious roadmap for Dragonflight in 2023, but we have to wonder what comes after all that.
Catch up on what’s in WoW patch 10.0.7, now live!
Dragonflight patch 10.0.7 will offer a sizable amount of content to explore when it goes live on March 21.
Dracthyr will be able to be other classes (eventually, maybe)
If you were disappointed to find that Dracthyr were limited to the Evoker class, we have some potential good news for you.
Does World of Warcraft need a hardcore mode? Datamining suggests it may be coming in patch 10.1
Recent datamining that indicates Dragonflight patch 10.1 might well have some form of hardcore mode on select servers.
What alternate game modes would you like to see added to World of Warcraft?
I've been thinking a lot about how World of Warcraft essentially has a few alternate game modes as part of its basic retail experience.
