Lore

Humans in the Warcraft setting have a very distinct origin -- they were created by a curse.

Sylvanas Windrunner had a choice to make at the end of Wrath of the Lich King, and initially, she chose oblivion.

The World of Warcraft: Legion expansion will center around the demons pouring out of the Tomb of Sargeras in The Broken Isles.

The last time I talked about Khadgar, it wasn't really so much of a history and more a questioning Tinfoil Hat Edition, because frankly, Khadgar's place in Warlords has been just a little odd.

Many races have at one time or another created vast empires on Azeroth.

Named for both his grandfather and the Lion of Azeroth, Anduin Llane Wrynn has a lot to live up to -- but he's not taking the expected route to get there.

In his time, he has served as the Archangel of Justice and sat as Wisdom on the Angiris Council.

A king in exile is still a king, and King Genn Greymane is nearly the living personification of his lost nation -- at times arrogant, willful, tenacious, and filled with a bestial fury that may be held in check, but never truly leashed.

Warlords of Draenor is coming to an end, and with the next expansion's announcement, we see that the story will continue right on into the next...sort of.

So we had a big announcement at Gamescom this month, and we know now that World of Warcraft is getting a big new expansion, Legion.
