Ability Pruning

Shadowlands is bringing back the class fantasy feeling of Legion, so much that they cheekily called it "The Unpruning" — undoing the "surgical pruning" that had been happening since Warlords of Draenor.

In Warlords of Draenor, Blizzard began what they called "ability pruning." For better or worse, the developers decided that classes just had too many buttons to press.

Continuing in the tradition of reflecting on the past while we wait for the inevitable tide of Legion news to break, today’s Death Knight column will be a retrospective look at some of the ways in which ability pruning worked out for the class in Warlords of Draenor.

Some changes to Enhancement have diminished our flavor a little. Others have just made the spec way less annoying to play.
