Maintenance

It's Tuesday, which means it's maintenance day for North American realms: but today's WoW downtime is a completely normal one hour maintenance, which ended just on time.

The War Within patch 11.0.5 rolled out this week, and while I've been enjoying the anniversary the launch has been a bit rocky.

It's patch day for World of Warcraft, so it's no surprise that there's a long maintenance today: The War Within servers were scheduled be offline from 7am - 3pm pacific today, but came back online an hour early.

In an unusual turn of events, today's World of Warcraft maintenance is scheduled to be its typical one-hour downtime.

The War Within servers have another extended maintenance this morning: NA servers are offline until 12pm pacific (or 3pm eastern), and just came back online.

After The War Within Season 1 started last week, I know players are all eager to jump online and check their Great Vault this morning to see what's shown up.

Long maintenance is starting to become a staple for The War Within, and so it's no surprise that here at the start of Season 1, we have one more long maintenance day.

While I think the overall launch of The War Within has gone well — the servers have been online when they were supposed to, zones, dungeons, and delves are accessible, quests are playable, and so on — there have been a few issues.

Having a Monday WoW expansion launch means that maintenance day comes fast, and this morning's maintenance window is a little longer than usual: the World of Warcraft servers will be offline from 7am to 9am pacific.
