Nintendo Switch 2

There's been a lot of discussion around the Switch 2 since Nintendo Direct last week, but one area that's been generating a lot of heat is how players will get their games.

After waiting months since the announcement of the Nintendo Switch 2 we received a lot of game announcements and new information this week -- including the release date of June 5.

Along with several other features, today's Nintendo Switch 2 Direct gave us a release date for the highly anticipated console: June 5, 2025, with preorders beginning April 8.

Well it's finally happened: the Switch 2 has been announced!
