Overwatch 2 Seasons

Season 16 of Overwatch 2 begins today, April 22.

Overwatch 2 Season 15 started on February 18 and is now live, and it adds quite few new features in what Blizzard lauded as "groundbreaking PVP gameplay changes." In addition to the usual we can expect from every new seasonal rollover -- a new Battle Pass packed with loot on both the free and premium tracks, new offerings in the Shop including some adorable Rainy Day skins -- Season 15 is bringing a few new twists to gameplay.

Overwatch 2 has always embraced the Halloween season, and season 13's events and cosmetics follow that theme with a gorgeous Spellbinder Widowmaker Mythic skin on the Battle Pass, along with a ton of other spooky cosmetics and fun stuff.

Overwatch 2 is blasting off into season 12 -- New Frontiers -- on August 20, with a preview video showcasing what we can expect, especially astronaut-themed support hero Juno.

When it begins, Overwatch 2 Season 10 is bringing a lot of new stuff into the game, including new DPS Hero Venture -- though the season's mostly highly anticipated addition may be everyone getting to play new Heroes without having to unlock them via the Battle Pass.

Season 9 of Overwatch 2, called Champions, will begin February 13, and when it does, it brings an overhaul to Competitive Mode, including a rank reset.

The seasonal rotation of Overwatch 2 has rolled over every nine weeks like clockwork, and Season 8 is no different: Overwatch 2 Season 8 started on December 5, 2023, with a whole lot of new stuff to explore.

Overwatch 2 is rolling into season 7, and it's going to be a fright.
