Improvements to transmog would make changing gear appearances less time intensive
When transmog was first introduced to World of Warcraft with patch 4.3 on November 29, 2011, I looked askance at it -- why would I want to change the appearance of my gear?

Players paying even small amounts of attention to WoW news have probably realized the maximum camera distance decreased significantly in patch 7.0.3.
