Let's say you've gotten settled into your nice new house in World of Warcraft.

Player Housing Early Access is now live in WoW, and one of the many things now on our to-do list is to harvest the lumber required to craft decor items.

Player Housing is a big part of Midnight, and it's available now in early access for players who pre-ordered the expansion.

Professions in The War Within have built on the lessons of Dragonflight by offering NPC crafting orders and replacing the janky Inspiration with Concentration.

Now that crafted gear in World of Warcraft can potentially keep up with Mythic and even high-level PVP loot, professions are once again relevant beyond their value for achievements, transmogs, and novelty items.

Leveling professions in The War Within, can be an expensive, tedious process — even more so than in Dragonflight — so we're happy to report that the Darkmoon Faire is in town to award you with easy profession points.

Every expansion in World of Warcraft brings with it tasty new Cooking recipes, from recipes so good they became actual real-life recipes to the nearly-inedible foods of Shadowlands (I guess Brokers didn't know that most of us don't like Pickled Meat Smoothies and Butterscotch Marinated Ribs). The War Within also includes a large variety of new foods (including food that lasts through death!), many of which have a fun twist on the fact that you're spending a lot of time in cave systems.

Dragonflight implemented a major rework of professions for players, adding quality tiers to materials and crafted goods, profession knowledge trees, and crafting orders.

In recent builds of The War Within alpha, Cooking changes have finally started filtering into people's profession windows.

Dragonflight made professions much more interesting — but also much harder to level.
