New Legion alpha patch brings new artifact traits, a transmog achievement, and baby deer

Updated

A new Legion alpha build dropped today. No new zones or specs (Update: Frost Mage and Assassin Rogue are going live with this patch) released, but a mountain of tweaks to classes have hit, especially to Warlocks, Shaman, and all Warrior talent trees. Additionally there is a new mount added to the alpha, the Long-Forgotten Hippogryph as well as the super adorable baby deer model.

What seems to have much of Twitter excited is the new Fabulous achievement. It requires fans of transmog to collect 25 appearances each for a dozen specific equipment slots, each awarding their own Fashionista achievement. When all 12 Fashionista achievements have been completed, the player is rewarded with “the Fabulous” title.

For classes, the following received significant changes:

Update: The devs have published design notes for this patch. In addition to making Frost Mages and Assassination Rogues available for play, they explained that the longer cooldown you’re seeing on many core abilities will be counterbalanced by changes they’ve made to Haste. They’ve also buffed multi-target abilities to make them more appealing over single-target abilities (not to be confused with large scale AOE abilities). For artifacts, they want the baseline ability the artifact grants you to only be one ability and since some artifacts grant two, they are transitioning those extra ones to traits.

Wowhead also datamined a new world map showing The Broken Isles:
