New transmogs and more coming with the Warcraft movie
Good news, everyone! The Warcraft movie is less than a month away and we’re all getting some cool new transmog items to celebrate. Anyone who logs on between May 25 and August 1 will receive King Llane’s sword and shield, Gul’dan’s staff, and Durotan’s axe for in-game cosplay purposes.
Update: These items are now available in-game, but for those hoping all items would be available to all characters, there’s a snag. Alliance get Llane’s sword and shield while Horde get Gul’dan’s staff and Durotan’s axe. Regardless, hop online now to pick them up — you never know when they’ll be perfect for a future transmog.
And while we’ve already seen a European Warcraft movie promotion that would give moviegoers a digital copy of the game, we now have confirmation it’s world-wide… at least depending on which part of the world you’re in.
Anyone who catches the movie in select theaters in select countries on select dates will also receive a copy of World of Warcraft. Complicated enough for you? Blizzard lists promotions in:
- United States at Regal Cinemas, United Artists Theaters, and Edwards Theaters
- Brazil at Ingresso.com
- Australia and New Zealand at HOYTS cinemas
- Europe at Kinepolis, Euroscoop, CineStar, CGR Cinemas, CinemaxX, Village Cinemas, Bol.com, RO Image 2000, Cineplexx, Karantanija Film, and Cinesa
- Malaysia at Golden Screen Cinemas
- Philippines at SM Cinemas
- Singapore at Capitol Piazza
- Thailand at SF Cinemas
All promotions are only available at participating locations (so check with your local theater to be sure) and while supplies last. In the US, members of Regal Cinema’s Regal Crown Club also have a chance to win BlizzCon tickets.
Is your country not on that list? Blizzard specifies that this is only “some” of the events going on, so check with your local theater to see if they’re doing anything.
