Breakfast Topic: Living with patch 7.0
As I write this, patch 7.0 and its various class and spec changes and other systemic alterations to World of Warcraft has gone live or is about to go live (for those of you in Europe). You, on the other hand, may be staring at your character trying to understand how to play her or him now, since the patch has already dropped for you.
I write this wondering how WoW will feel once the changes drop. Yes, I’ve been playing on the Alpha and the Beta, and I’ve tested out a lot of these systems already. But there’s a big difference between a beta test — where nothing ever feels finished or set in stone — and live servers. Now, you’re presumably playing the finalized version of your class, at least until leveling starts up again. The you that you are on Tuesday when you log in is you until August 30th — no Artifacts, no Broken Isles, just you and your brand new same old character.
There’s a lot of great stuff coming — I’m so excited about the new Transmog system and the Wardrobe I could spontaneously explode into a thousand rainbow colored unicorn pegasi — but there’s always a bit of apprehension, and initial confusion right after a patch releases. How are you guys handling patch 7.0? Are you confused? Are the new features as exciting as you’d hoped? How do you like the way your class is playing?
