World quest bonus event boasts huge rep gains
This week, the bonus event in World of Warcraft is all about World Quests. If you go talk to Archmage Timear in Dalaran, he’ll cut you a deal with the quest The World Awaits. Complete 20 world quests and he’ll slide you an extra 5,000 order resources under the table. This will be a boon to anyone looking to finally nab that second or third legendary slot, or people who are just trying to maintain their follower missions with the Legion app until the holidays are over.
Even after you finish your 20 quests for Timear, this weekly bonus event has a lot to offer. Sign of the Emissary grants a 50% boost to reputation gains from World Quests until the event expires on Monday. This could easily push you toward those rep goals you might be lacking for the Broken Isles Pathfinder achievement, even if it won’t get you any closer to Khadgar’s head in a bubble.
If you held on to your 12th Anniversary Event Celebration Package, the additional 12% boost makes this a great time to get out there and do some world quests.
Lastly, this week is the first time The Soultakers make an appearance as the weekly world boss. For most players killing world bosses is an easy way to get good gear — or, if you’re like me, lots of gold — but if you’re playing a Frost Death Knight, killing this boss is an absolute necessity. The Soultakers drop Runes of the Darkening, the item used to unlock your artifact’s hidden appearance. Of course, it’s slightly less hidden now that I told you exactly where it is, but the NPCs don’t have to know that.
