The Queue: What am I even doing?
Sometimes I seriously don’t understand what I’m up to. Switching back to Warrior? After spending the better part of a month grinding reps and getting geared on my DK? Seriously I think I have some sincere issues that would require a team of trained professionals to unravel.
Anyway, here’s the Queue. And the R, for the one person who loves that joke.
Did anyone else find the end Champions of Azeroth rewards a bit underwhelming? I finally got exalted today, and all there was was a helm that’s already useless (I got a free 370 helm from the Arathi quest) and a tabard that doesn’t even have Magni’s face on it! I thought that was their symbol! Also no necklace ilvl upgrade either.
A mount using the infernal mount/ice elemental model but made of Azerite seems fitting.
Since I switched back to my Warrior I’m just at Honored with Champions, and my DK was high Revered when I switched, but a lot of my guildmates agree with you that Champions, and indeed all the reputations, are a touch underwhelming at Exalted. I’d personally like them to bring the Paragon system back. That seemed like a good way to make reputation worthwhile past Exalted.
Pro tip, for those that haven’t discovered this yet: If an extra loading screen isn’t a huge deal to you, it may interest you to know that your Dalaran hearthstone is one extra step away from being a Dazar’alor or Boralus hearthstone, as just on the other side of the portal from dalaran (or anywhere) to your capital city is a portal to your BFA capital!
Putting this here just to confirm — wherever your portal to Stormwind/Orgrimmar puts out, there’s a portal back to Boralus there.
Terrible, hypothetical situation: You log into your WoW account, and everything is gone. All characters, mounts, pets, tmog…everything. Blizzard said it was a glitch in their system, and they have no way to restore your account. As an apology, they will give you two years free subscription, a level 110 Boost, and the next xpac for free.
Would you continue to play the game?
No, probably not. I have realm first titles, very rare mounts, I’ve been playing the game since about a month after launch. I have my original Sulfuras that I got back in 2005. My Thunderfury, my Shadowmourne, my Warglaives of Azzinoth, my Mimiron’s Head… and years and years of memories. That would all be erased.
So no, I’d probably stop. Diablo 4 is coming (in my opinion) and I’d likely switch my focus to that for a while.
On the subject of Dungeons, what’s your fav of the new dungeons>?
I liked Boralus until i got walled on the last boss (dps refused to kill the hurty tentacles), and Sethrallis is fun for me but i’ve seen frustration on lightning walls. Freehold has Sharkpuncher which makes it legendary tier, but i think the Spooky Manor is my current fav.
- Siege of Boralus. My absolute favorite this expansion, I’ve tanked and DPS’d it and I just love it to bits. I especially love the last boss, which is an utter pain in the rear end trainwreck of the kind that Blizzard used to torture us with all the time.
- King’s Rest. Because wow. That’s a messed up dungeon that is.
- Freehold. Yes, even a cranky old man like me loves the Arena part of that dungeon. “Stop poking me!”
Those are my top three.
Q4TQ: With Diablo IV practically a given at this point*, do you think there will be any other major announcements at BlizzCon this year?
*I Want To Believe
Kal, you know I want Diablo 4 as much as anyone possibly can. But you should never assume you know what Blizzard is going to do. Do I think we’re going to get D4? Yes, the Sombra skin makes me think we are. But I’m not going to be surprised or disappointed if it turns out we don’t get it. Blizzard might announce a Netflix TV series, a novel series, a Battle Royale style game, a Diablo themed survival game, I just don’t know.
I mean, I really really want Diablo 4, but I’m not getting my hopes up. I’ll believe it when I see it.
Okay, that’s the Queue for today. I’ll see y’all next week. Everyone be good to each other, and to yourselves.
