Q4tQ: Is there an AotC for Uldir, and if so, when does it end? When 8.1 drops or when the next raid drops? I like to kind of aim at it if I can. We are super close on H G’huun but just lost our raid leader. If AotC ends Dec. 11 then I need to look for a pug maybe (arg).

The achievement itself says that it has to be done “before the release of the next raid tier” — and I’m like 99% sure that means you have until after the holidays to get it done. Blizz did say that the new raid wouldn’t be out with the patch’s release, after all.

The playerbase already accepts “spec nonsense”. I still hope for the glorious day when all race/class restrictions will be lifted. If my Forsaken can be a Holy Priest, even though the Holy Light should burn him to ashes, why can’t he be a really cool undead druid who turns into a zombie-bear?

I’m still rooting for Forsaken Paladins. But, hey, if you want a zombie bear… have you heard about Kul Tiran Druids at all? Also, while we’re at it, what would a Forsaken Shaman look like? Would their spells be all dead like, but still kinda elemental-y?

Anne – re: odd race/spec combinations, I found it really interesting that Beofre The Storm all but ignored Shadow Priests in Netherlight Temple. Anduin clearly described the place as exclusively holy. Are there any specs that might be game mechanic only? Or would be part of a different Order if not forced into class halls?

So, I don’t think Anduin ever described it as exclusively Holy. What my take on it was that he stayed in the right half of the Priest Order Hall because, well, why would he ever go to the Shadow side? So while he’s exclusively describing the Holy side of it, he’s not describing the whole hall as exclusively Holy.

But yeah, I would’ve liked to see more love to Shadow Priests there, even if the place was described as a place for all Priests.

GALDWYNN IS ALL ABOUT ADDONS THIS TIME:

Q4tQ: Would you play an entire WoW expansion without 3rd party info (i.e. Wowhead, addons, etc)? I suspect people would miss a lot of content playing like that. I use both often and I still find things I didn’t know existed in game. WoW seems to rely heavily on outside source to inform their players. Is that something they should be responsibly doing, or is it just smart?

Q4tQ: Should world first raid clears be completed without addons? I don’t know how you would prove or disprove their use, but playing the game the way it was released seems like it should be a requirement.

To the first question: That’s how I play expansion betas. It’s not by choice, mind you, but it’s surprisingly easy to get used to. Honestly, I mostly miss the damage meters… for more than just ego! I like to know how I’m doing compared to other classes.

To the second question: Thing about WoW is, it’s a game released with the idea that players will make addons, and that those addons may someday be incorporated into the base game. So even though addons are, by nature, additions, they’re still something Blizzard has in mind while designing. It’s also why they do disable some addons when they cross a line into abusing the fact that addons can exist. And those are the sorts of things Blizzard watches during the world-first race.

Q4TQ: One thing BfA has done really well is create a whole new roster of NPCs that you interact with and get to know really well. My question is – who is your favourite of the new characters? I think mine has to be Flynn Fairwind – it was him that made the main quest chain the Boralus so much fun!

PS: has anyone ever gotten a transmog piece from the IEs? I’ve only done a few and I don’t recall ever getting one. Is this going to be a slog?

Flying isn’t coming until 8.2. Also, the only transmog item I’ve gotten was one I got tonight, and it was a Cosmetic-only blue pirate hat. Granted, I don’t run Island Expeditions too much, so I’m not the best measure of this sort of thing. But I’m pretty sure there are a loooooot of people out there with unearned items still.

Q4TQ: Should Blizzard Watch stream themselves playing D&D?

Cause I’d watch the hell out of that.

Oh, I’d freaking love to do this — but realistically? There’s almost no way it could happen. It was hard enough to get five people together at the same time for the leveling streams, and that would be even more true right now.

Honestly, there are soooo many things I would love to do on stream, with viewers, just for the heck of it… but time always ends up working against me, and there’s only so much time for leisurely activities in a given day :(
