How do you want Overwatch’s 30th hero to be revealed?

For all the mystery and uncertainty surrounding the identities of Overwatch’s unannounced heroes, the actual timing of their reveals follows a pretty clockwork schedule. Both Orisa and Brigitte were first teased during the third week of February, with follow-up teasers over the next few days and an official announcement within 10 days of the first teaser. And — oh, hey, would you look at that! — we’re in the third full week of February right now!

Given the game’s new Paris map launched yesterday, it stands to reason the next big thing coming to Overwatch will be its 30th hero. But how exactly is Hero 30 going to be revealed? In the past, we’ve seen a few different approaches to hero reveals, with Sombra’s being the most audacious and Wrecking Ball’s being the most surprising (…well, for most people anyhow). But the heroes thus far revealed around this time of year haven’t been much more than a couple pre-release teasers and then an announcement. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, of course!

However, there is a part of me that misses the crazy wild speculation that came with Sombra’s eventual reveal. The second Paris went live on the PTR, I immediately began scouting for clues that might hint at an upcoming hero. Sadly, unless Hero 30’s major characteristic is that they ate all the cheese in Paris, I came up empty handed. There’s every possibility that I missed obvious clues and they’ll became much more apparent in retrospect, but I’m pretty sure Hero 30’s reveal isn’t going to be anything as involved as some of the past heroes’ reveals. If you hate teasers and ARGs and Blizzard not just spitting out a new hero’s identity, then that’s probably good news for you. But given that this is Hero 30, it feels like it should be a little more special.

Maybe that’s just me, though. How do you want the next Overwatch hero to be revealed? Are you perfectly content with Blizzard sticking to the usual? Or are you more like me and hoping we get something that involves the super-sleuths a bit more? Moreover, what sort of hero are you hoping to see?
