The Queue: When you are a hammer every problem looks like a nail
My Warrior is so angry, y’all, and she just can’t stop punching things.
How would you like to see an evolution of the covenant system in future expansions or patches? Not asking for lore predictions necessarily
I mean, one thing I’ve talked about before is using something like the Covenant system to showcase events on Azeroth itself. Imagine if, as an example, the Orcs actually teamed up with the Night Elves to repair the damage done to Ashenvale and Darkshore instead of just talking about how bad they feel about things? Instead of yet another installment of Sad Orc In Soot, instead of getting to hear all that Orcpain, we could see some concrete action between the two groups to try and in some small way make amends for what happened and move past vengeance. So you could have Orcs and Tauren on the Horde side and Night Elves and Draenei on the Alliance side, and any player could join up with their new group (call them The Redeemers or whatever) to help try and fix up what got broken.
Just one possible idea for how you could use it going forward.
QftQ: What are your biggest pet peeves about this expansion so far?
I desperately want to move into the next chapter of the story now. I feel like there wasn’t enough of the Campaign, and I’m not sure if I can handle leveling up enough characters to see all four myself.
Q4tQ: will the Baba-Mitch ever be added as a player class?
Nope. Just these guys.
QftQ: Has the increased likelihood of a patch 9.1 announcement at BlizzConline changed your expectations for the patch?
For myself I previously wrote off the possibility of a completely new outdoor zone since we’ve never really gotten one before in a X.1 patch, but I’ve started to change my tune.
I’m honestly completely in the dark about what we’re going to see in 9.1, and I’m really uncertain how big it will be and how much content it will have. I mean, if Anduin gets forcibly corrupted into Arthas 2.0, maybe we’ll have a raid where we have to take him out? It’s possible, if not particularly likely.
But I can’t pretend I have any real expectations for what’s coming. I simply don’t know.
How do I upgrade my i190 legendary to a higher ilvl? Last time I was at the Runecarver there seemed to be an option for it but I didn’t have the necessary materials I guess.
You get the proper crafted item at the proper rank, then spend the proper amount of Anima. We covered it here.
The main thing you’ll need to upgrade your Legendary gear is Soul Ash from Torghast. Hitting the weekly cap on Soul Ash, you’ll be able to craft a Legendary fairly quickly, but the cost to craft or upgrade a Legendary increases with each rank. We have a list of the costs for upgrading a legendary in our post about Soul Ash, but I’ll reproduce it below for your benefit:
- Rank 1 to Rank 2 (Item Level 210): 750 Soul Ash
- Rank 2 to Rank 3 (Item Level 225): 1200 Soul Ash
- Rank 3 to Rank 4 (Item Level 235): 1950 Soul Ash
So if you’ve already crafted a Rank 1 Legendary, it’ll cost you 750 Soul Ash to get it to rank 2, in addition to the cost of a rank 2 base item.
That’s basically it. Head to the AH or craft your own item at the proper rank and spend the Soul Ash and you can upgrade your legendary. And remember, if you have enough Soul Ash, you can easily upgrade from Rank 1 to Rank 4 just by buying or making the Rank 4 item and spending 3900 Soul Ash in one go.
Okay, that’s the Queue for today. Tomorrow Liz is up so be nice and ask lots of questions please.
