What’s your biggest hope for WoW: Dragonflight?

If there’s anything I can say I absolutely hope for in Dragonflight, it’s that the design decision to not do a borrowed power system and the changes to professions both work out. I loved how Artifact weapons worked, but I felt like the system we got in that game kept coming back to minimal reward for us — I was not a fan of Azerite Armor, and while I didn’t dislike Soulbinds and Conduits nearly as much, it all started to feel very complex and picking a Covenant that didn’t offer the right powers was a real hindrance that didn’t need to be there.

And man, professions have been not bad, but lackluster for so long that I’m extremely excited for what we’re going to see in Dragonflight. Just the idea of work orders allowing players to go find a blacksmith and have a BOP item crafted for them rather than having to be a Blacksmith to get the benefit of items like that makes me feel slightly giddy — both from a perspective of not feeling like I have to play a Blacksmith if I don’t want to and from the perspective of the characters I play that will likely remain Blacksmiths. This is an exciting thing for me. Recrafting could end up being an amazing feature allowing you to improve and upgrade items as you gain newer reagents.

So those are the things I’m most hopeful for in Dragonflight, followed by the Drakthyr Evokers’ Preservation spec and whatever Warriors end up looking like talent-wise.

So what about you guys? Are you hoping to see more customization options for other, non-Dracthyr races? Are you hoping the talents for your Mage or Monk end up working out? Maybe you’re just hoping for ducks, duck mounts, duck pets, the works. What are you most hopeful we’ll get in Dragonflight?
