The Queue: Enter Sludgefist
Last night my guild managed to kill the Mythic Council of Blood finally. That was the fight we had progressed to back in Shadowlands season one, but we never managed to defeat. We had gotten close a couple of times, but never quite had the oomph to defeat the final council member.
Now though, we’re all over that oomph!
If only we could do as well in Sanctum or Sepulcher. We haven’t managed to get further in the current season than we’d been in their first seasons yet. For Sanctum we’d have to get past Painsmith, and for Sepulcher it might mean Halondrus. Neither of which sounds like y’know, fun times.
While I steel myself for more Sanctum progression tomorrow, it’s time for — The Queue.
It must be stressful for the writers. Posting and then waiting for the comments. A little time passes…then some more, with no responses.
Then some loser just posts a totally-unrelated picture of a cow.
I don’t know if I’d call it stressful for myself, but I do spend a lot of time the day a post goes live refreshing it to see if anyone is commenting. While also keeping an eye on the Twitter post about it…
That’s normal right?
I guess deep down (not that deep) I just want people to like the thing I made and comments are the easiest way to measure that usually. Assuming they’re not all spambots.
QftQ: Do you enjoy anime? What shows would you recommend?
I like it sometimes, but it’s not usually my go-to. That being said, I enjoyed my time with Psycho-Pass and Cowboy Bebop the most. Samurai Champloo was also a pretty good watch. I couldn’t finish Neon Genesis Evangelion when it came to Netflix or recently. It was just a little too out there, y’know?
I wonder if Kiriko being unlocked by the season pass is just because she was meant to be unlocked by playing through story mode at launch.
But story mode wasn’t ready for launch so they just put Kiriko in the season pass instead.
Q4tQ: If that is how future heroes are unlocked: simply playing through the story mode missions coming each season – would you be ok with that?
Oh yeah, if they decided to backtrack on this decision to have the heroes locked to the battle-pass and just make them come from doing some PVE content I would be pretty satisfied.
Overwatch has always stood apart from the other games since it wanted you to be able to swap to different heroes mid-match. Imagine how Heroes of the Storm or League of Legends would play if you could just change to the hard counter for one of your opponent’s heroes in the middle. They’d play completely differently as a whole.
But since you can swap around so freely in Overwatch, having that pool of all of the characters to pull from was important, everyone was on the exact same footing when it came to countering the enemy team.
I’m not opposed to a Battle-Pass system when it’s just cosmetics and stuff, but locking a major thing like a whole hero behind it doesn’t feel great. Release the hero with the season, and just toss some truly outstanding cosmetics for it at that point, make me want to get there to look flashy, not to just be able to play the character.
Q4tQ – what’s the oldest mount you regularly use? I mainly use the Gnomish Flying Machine on my DI and Gnome Engineers. I didn’t made it back in TBC – I can’t actually remember when I did get around to making it – but it is definitely the oldest mount I regularly use in terms of expansion it was from…
It’s this Brewfest Ram! It’s the only “legacy” mount that I have.
I wouldn’t say that I choose to ride it a lot though, it’s in my Favorite Mount list, so it comes up about one in a hundred button pushes.
All right, Stewart Tolhurst got me looking at my 50+s, which got me thinking about leveling them, and I spent an hour clearing out bags.
So…druid is going Maldraxxus because I can cover up that hideous hideous leather set with moonkin form.
What should these guys go with?
Velflock
Dwarf priest
Dwarf mage
The LFD paladin would also likely go Bastion, since the draenei fury warrior is taking up the last plate set I need (Night Fae). Draenei hunter also likely goes Bastion, and nelf demon hunter Revendreth.
I like the Maldraxxi leather set! It’s so creepy and asymmetrical.
They should all go to Venthyr, Venthyr is the best!
However, that’s probably not the answer that you’re looking for. I really like the Warlock in Bastion gear, Priest getting Ardenweald stuff, and the Mage in Venthyr stuff. Of course, that means that you’ll still have to send one of them to Maldraxxus at some point if you want the whole Shadowlands cloth collection.
