The Queue: The Salmonids approach
Happy Wednesday, Queuefolk!
This weekend is actually the start of Big Run in Splatoon 3, and while it’s not the same as a Splatfest, it feels kind of like the Salmon Run equivalent of it, which I’m very excited for. I didn’t really play a whole lot of Salmon Run before this game, but I’ve been loving it so far and (after a small break for other games) am really excited to see if the drop rate on scales is better.
But that’s probably gibberish to most of you, so let’s do what we came here to do: Queue.
Q4tQ:
Do you find the crafting changes as confusing as I do? I haven’t even a clue where to start anymore. I’m just piling up ore for the day I understand what to do with it.
I admit, it’s mostly confusing to me because I haven’t been paying attention in the slightest to the full scale of the changes. I think Blizz does try to walk players through things on the Dragon Isles, but it’s still a lot.
Honestly, I stick with Herb/Mining because professions have always been a side game that I don’t have the brain space for. I do a lot in WoW, but profession leveling is not really one of them. Overall, I’ve heard good things about the changes, though, and I think maybe it’s just going to take some adjusting to get used to them.
So I guess the answer is that I’ve always been confused.
Anyone else find a certain irony in being declined from a “Chill” M0 group?
I think this actually happened to me last night as well, and I had the same thought. Especially if keys aren’t involved, though, sometimes the easiest solution is to start your own dungeon group (with Blackjack and Dookers).
[Something spoiler-y that explains this question]
Which currently alive lore character would you trade in for which dead character?
I’d probably kill Baine to get Nathanos back.
Backup question: based on the number of healing trinkets dropping for me, it seems the game is implying I should give healing a try. Will I have my “Shadow Priest for life” card revoked if I give the new Disc tree a try? Their kit seems really fun this expansion, just a matter of if I let everyone horribly die or not due to inexperience with attornment healing.
Well, you certainly won’t have that card revoked — Disc. has somewhat often been my ALT spec, especially at the end of an expansion, and it can be fun — I do warn you about heeding calls from the Light. Do not Trust the Light the way you trust the Void. Use it, hear it, utilize it if you need… but don’t embrace it.
Q4tQ Should the portal rooms be replaced by a Wormhole Generator? The game already has the mechanic in place of allowing you to select from multiple destination options; there’s really no reason the cities of Stormwind and Orgrimmar couldn’t hire some engineers to replace the portals with a single wormhole.
You know what, the fact that they haven’t already speaks to the overwhelming power of the Mage Portal Guild. We need to tear it down before it controls all movement around Azeroth!
Nah, I like the portal rooms. They’re a lot of fun.
What we DO need is a portable portal to the portals. That way, dozens of portals are only a portal away!
Q4tQ: can anyone point me at a simple guide for alchemy? All I want to do is make raid stuff for my guild. Before, I could look at the cauldron mats to know exactly which flasks mattered. Then I could just focus on those. This whole revamp has me spinning. And, having only used the tool tips for my first poor choices for spending alchemy knowledge, I’m a little gun shy.
I know you’d mentioned looking for something even more high-level than Wowhead — and as mentioned, I haven’t dug in too much — but maybe this video will help? If anyone else has other guides, please share ’em!
That’s our Queue for today! Please be sure to leave lots of questions for Rossi and be sure to send along some birthday wishes before the clock strikes midnight!
