What’s your favorite quality of life improvement coming in patch 10.1.7?
Dragonflight patch 10.1.7 arrives today with a whole host of new features for players to enjoy, including Heritage Armor quests for Night Elves and Forsaken, the unlocking of Eredar appearances for original flavor Draenei, Heroic wings of the Dawn of the Incarnates mega-dungeon, a more dangerous Headless Horseman, and the new Dreamsurge zone events. Whew! However, sometimes the best stuff that comes in patches are the little things — for example, when patch 10.1.5 removed restrictions from unlocking Allied Races and made riding training automatic.
Like its predecessor, patch 10.1.7 delivers some quality of life improvements for players. After years of relying on third-party addons, we’ll finally be able to Sell All Junk in our bags in one click — although this was originally supposed to come in patch 10.1.5, we’re still thankful it’s finally coming (don’t worry if you have some grey items you don’t want to sell, you’ll be able to designate specific bags to ignore this feature). The new Ping System should also prove beneficial to those who frequently run group content, allowing for quicker communication among party members.
If you ask me, though, the biggest improvement we’ll be getting is that Tuskarr Tackleboxes will be rolled into the Find Fish tracking, so if you’re busy hunting other treasures you won’t have to mouse over every little icon on the minimap to see if it’s one you’re looking for. As someone who is still trying to complete the “Treasures of” achievements for Dragonflight, this is a huge deal.
A late entrant to the list of patch 10.1.7 features is the return of hundreds of zone and rare spawn drops that were taken out with the world revamp in Cataclysm. While we don’t know what exactly will be returning, the return of transmog is always a positive feature.
What about you? Do you care about the little changes or are you more worried about the larger content? What are you looking forward to in patch 10.1.7? And are you as disappointed as I am that there is no word of the promised soloing pass for Battle for Azeroth raids yet?
