Here’s the release schedule for The War Within pre-patch and Season 1

With the imminent launch of The War Within, players will be chomping at the bit to dive into some of those new dungeons and raids, full of everything from fire bees to angry Arathi. Or perhaps you’re more of a PvP player, and you’re ready to crack heads with your fellow gladiators, and wondering exactly when you can do that for real in the expansion?

Maybe all of that’s too far into the future for you, and you just want to know when you can start beating up Azeroth’s bad memories for sweet rewards. Well, Blizzard recently posted The War Within‘s season 1 schedule, and we’re going to break all of these things down, one day at a time.

• Tuesday, July 23rd: Pre-patch launches! We’re going to get lots of mechanical and UI changes (and you remembered to update your addons, right?) but no new content is available… yet.
• Tuesday, July 30th: The Radiant Echoes launch event starts. You’ll be summoned to Dalaran, which is full of convenient portals to areas around the world where Azeroth’s world-soul is conjuring up memories of her greatest existential threats. This will last until August 26th — the official launch day of The War Within.
• Tuesday, August 20th: PvP Pre-season begins.
• Thursday, August 22nd: The War Within early access begins! You’ll be able to access all the leveling content on Khaz Algar, as well as Normal-difficulty dungeons. Those are:
  • The Rookery (level 70-80)
  • The Stonevault (level 70-80)
  • Priory of the Sacred Flame (level 70-80)
  • Ara-Kara, City of Echoes (level 70-80)
  • Cinderbrew Meadery (level 80)
  • Darkflame Cleft (level 80)
  • The Dawnbreaker (level 80)
  • City of Threads (level 80)

• Monday, August 26th: The War Within officially launches globally at 3 PM Pacific. With this, Heroic dungeons will now be available.
• Tuesday, September 10th: This is going to be a busy day. All of these things become available on September 10th:
  • Normal and Heroic difficulty Nerub-ar Palace, The War Within‘s first raid
  • LFR Wing 1 of Nerub-ar Palace
  • Mythic 0 and Heroic Seasonal Dungeons — this is the same roster of dungeons that will be featured in Season 1’s Mythic+ rotation, but at Heroic and Mythic 0 difficulty:
    • The Stonevault
    • The Dawnbreaker
    • Ara-Kara, City of Echoes
    • City of Threads
    • Grim Batol (from Cataclysm)
    • The Necrotic Wake (from Shadowlands)
    • Mists of Tirna Scithe (also from Shadowlands)
    • Siege of Boralus (from Battle for Azeroth)
  • The first of four World Bosses, which will presumably be on a weekly rotation.
    • Kordac, the Dormant Protector
    • Aggregation of Horrors
    • Shurrai, Atrocity of the Undersea
    • Orta, the Broken Mountain
  • PvP Season 1

• Tuesday, September 17th: Lots of raid stuff and dungeon stuff for folks at all levels of play.
  • Mythic difficulty Nerub-ar Palace
  • LFR Wing 2 of Nerub-ar Palace
  • Mythic+ dungeons, featuring the same eight dungeons as the Mythic 0 and Heroic Seasonal list, but now with Xal’atath making your life harder
  • Story Mode version of the fight against Queen Ansurek — a new difficulty allowing up to 10 people to experience a stripped-down version of the final fight of Nerub-ar Palace just to experience the narrative
• Tuesday, September 24th: The final wing of LFR, Wing 3, opens this day.
