Hop along the bunny trail with some adorable cottontails this Noblegarden

Noblegarden starts this week in World of Warcraft, but rather than dwell on the years-long effort to collecting duck disguises, I suggest we go back to the roots of the in-game holiday. Yes, in honor of fuzzy ears, brightly colored eggs, and adorable noses, we’re returning to admire some real life counterparts to the Spring Rabbit and Noblegarden Bunny.

Our first feature is brief but precious. These dwarf bunnies, filmed in South Africa, just wanted a drink of water and got a bunch of sneezes instead! Poor babies just wanted to hydrate.

OK at first I thought this video was cute but nothing squee-worthy like the preview image implies; in fact, that first bunny eating raspberries reminded me of my sister’s favorite childhood book. But after a few sweet specimens and their preferred produce, we get to the baby tackling a strawberry bigger than its head. Between its tenacious progress an tiny bites, I’m sold. Side note: I truly did not realize how absolutely dedicated bunnies can be in the pursuit of raspberries!

OK but for real — did you know bunnies compete? Indeed, when VICE was still running their Cute Show, they spent the day at the Rabbit Grand National in Harrogate in Yorkshire, England, checking out the cream of the competitive hopster crop. Of course, all the talk of bunny behavior and reactions led me down the body language rabbit hole (humor gleefully intended).

Another short video — baby Holland Lop bunny Sugar Cookie just wants to munch away on a snack of oats. Seriously, how is an animal so dang cute while eating? It’s a mystery.

Let’s wrap up with “Conglietta Bianca” — aka, Bianca the bunny! Bianca is a blue-eyed dwarf ermine bunny (una coniglietta nano ermellino dagli occhi azzurri) and she’s happy to play in her colorful tunnel (gioca nel sun tunnel colorato) and have a snack (e fa uno spuntino). Reading her video descriptions may require some translation, but that precious face is universal. And if you’re interested in a double header, they uploaded a special video showing Bianca’s preference for greens instead of a (chocolate) egg.
