How to watch the Midnight Season 1 Race to World First

The first season of World of Warcraft: Midnight  is less than a week away, and with it the return of The Race to World First. Once again, we’ll see the best raiders in the world get together in World of Warcraft and try to prove they have what it takes to persevere against the hardest bosses in the game.

The Race to World First is a community-driven event with no real prize beyond bragging rights and the satisfaction of knowing that you saved Azeroth from certain destruction for another season. Since it is a community event, there are a few different places to watch it and the schedule isn’t strictly fixed. There will be official streams from top guilds with teams of casters and support staff, letting players focus on the important dragon killing business of the day (all while maintaining a well-fed buff in real life). But smaller guilds and individuals will be streaming too — they’re just less likely to announce it in advance, and we’ll probably see plenty of players streaming Mythic raids during the race, even though our list focuses on a few top guilds.

Unlike last tier, The Midnight Race to World First will be spread over three different raids, totaling nine bosses for this first season of Midnight. The Void Spire and the Dreamrift will both open for Normal and Heroic difficulties on March 17, 2026. Mythic difficulty for both will open the week later on March 24, 2026. The following week, March 31, 2026, the March on Quel’Danas will open on Normal, Heroic, and Mythic difficulties.

The raiders will have a hard choice on where to spend their time once all three are open. Historically, we’ve seen a lot of extra time spent on Heroic splits trying to give main raiders the best possible gear before they attempt the harder Mythic bosses. Once Quel’Danas opens, there’ll be a new pair of bosses to tackle alongside the ones they’ve already been clearing. Maybe Belo’ren will prove to be an easier Mythic encounter than the fourth or fifth boss of Voidspire. Or maybe Blizzard will have tuned the third raid harder since it’s coming out later. Usually, it’s the hardest boss that gives you the fancy mount when you beat it on Mythic, and that is the Midnight Falls encounter in March on Quel’Danas.

We have two confirmed streams with full production elements right now, though many smaller guilds will be streaming their own progress. Here’s when and where to watch the Midnight Season 1 Race to World First!

Team Liquid Guild

As the dust settled on The War Within, Liquid Guild were the undisputed champions. All three seasons of raids fell to them first, with a nail-bitingly close finish on Dimensius in Manaforge Omega for the three-peat. Have they gotten complacent in their downtime? The guild has Max calling the shots like he has in recent raid tiers, and he’s proven how good he is at managing the chaotic balancing act of learning new Mythic fights while getting your raiders to avoid the fire. Liquid will also be running the exact same casting talent as their last race, so you know that you’re going to get top-quality commentary to go along with all of the fights.

Watch Team Liquid starting on March 24, 2026 on Liquid’s official stream or on Max’s stream

Echo Guild

Echo has a lot to prove in this expansion — after coming in second the whole way through The War Within, they’ve gotta be hungry for that top spot. The plans are in place, the raiders are being assembled, and they’ve even begun selling tickets for spectators to attend a watch party on March 28, 2026. I’m not sure how far they’ll be in the raid at that point, but it is interesting that they’re trying to expand the format from previous races. They’ve even been streaming all of their setup and assembly of the computers and production gear in the space. Echo will also be starting their official stream a week earlier than Liquid to show off all of the Heroic splits.

Watch Echo starting on March 18, 2026, on Echo’s official stream, or see which of their raiders are streaming individually if you want a more class-focused experience.

Method Guild

Method hasn’t formally announced a team meetup yet, but as the third-place guild and the guild that spearheaded RWF as an esport it’s likely that they will be running their own stream. The guild has announced the payment plan for players who can come along and help them get extra gear funneled into their main raiders, and they’re offering more than Echo, which is a good sign that they’ll be competing at their hardest for the event.

Written race updates

For text-based updates, Raider.io has minute-by-minute updates on every guild racing, and we’ll be posting daily rundowns of the race as well.

Good luck to all of the teams taking part in the race — may the best raiders win!
