We’ve made it to yet another Friday, another week through our journey around the sun. Er. Glowing skyrock? Something? It’s hard to tell when we’ve all been living in a cave for weeks now.

Let’s get Queueing

While I think the overall launch of The War Within has gone well — the servers have been online when they were supposed to, zones, dungeons, and delves are accessible, quests are playable, and so on — there have been a few issues.

Well, not really since we do take occasional breaks from gaming to write, but the past week has really been dominated by The War Within's launch.

It’s just another day (another daily) at the office, unfortunately. But instead of being doom and gloom about today’s responsibilities, let’s talk video games. Let’s Queue.

Apparently leveling in The War Within has just been too easy, and I really want to know which one of you complained and ruined things for all of us.

Though we're still waiting for the updated 2024 D&D Player's Handbook, Dungeon Master's Guide, and Monster Manual (actually coming out in 2025), Wizards of the Coast just announced a new slate of products for next year.

Having a Monday WoW expansion launch means that maintenance day comes fast, and this morning's maintenance window is a little longer than usual: the World of Warcraft servers will be offline from 7am to 9am pacific.

World of Warcraft's new expansion The War Within kicks off the three-expansion Worldsoul Saga, and while it will take a while to reach the end of this trilogy, The War Within expansion is now live, and Season 1 has just begun unlocking the game's first big stretch of content.

It's a busy week in Blizzard games — and in games in general.

I have really enjoyed playing through the Dragon Isles, but I’m ready for something new. So it’s fortunate that it’s time to head to Khaz Algar and (maybe) forget about dragons for a little while. They’re great, but we’ve been mainlining dragon-themed content for two years, and a break will be nice.

So let’s talk about early access, what we’re playing, and just how launch day will (hopefully) go.
