Happy Friday, Watchers, and welcome to our pre-expansion edition of "what to play this weekend." Not all of us dove directly into World of Warcraft: The War Within when early access opened.

While the opening ceremony of Gamescom 2024 left something to be desired in terms of enthusiasm and hype, one offering stood out on the sheer level of authentic human emotion displayed by a passionate creator.

Gamescom 2024 kicks off today, and with E3 thoroughly out of the picture we're all looking to Germany for the latest gaming news.

We've got fantasy, we've got science fiction, we've got... time travel? You may also come learn to yearn for the mobs.

It seems that Dragon Age: The Veilguard may really, actually, finally be coming out with an official release date on October 31.

The newest expansion for Guild Wars 2 is out later this month, and Janthir Wilds is bringing new maps, the exciting new Homestead feature, and giving all professions the use of the Spear, a weapon previously only available for some professions underwater.
