It's not just Grommash's character we're looking at here -- it's the entire state of the Horde as we know it. Did the Horde need Garrosh Hellscream? Yes, it absolutely did, and now that he's gone, there's a void left behind that could be filled, oddly enough, by his father from another reality. But before you get me wrong here, I don't mean Grommash should fill that villain role. Far from it.

One could argue that by the end of the events that play out in 6.0 and 6.1, the Iron Horde has been effectively shut down, backs against the wall, leaving them with no other apparent alternative than to turn to tactics they weren't originally going to use. But the one thing we haven't done is really look at the situation and ask ourselves -- why the Iron Horde to begin with?

We've been told by Nozdormu (who himself was told by Aman'Thul, highfather of the Pantheon of Titans - or so we are told) that there is one true timeline. With the existence of this Draenor, that would seem to be false. But what the Titan meant by one true timeline has never been fully explained.

Wrathion spent pretty much the entirety of Mists of Pandaria sending us on errands -- and now it appears the Black Prince is on Draenor. Introduced in Burning Crusade, this race of space-traveling eredar who avoided corruption by Sargeras has a story that spans back thousands upon thousands of years, longer than even the history of the night elves -- and with far less definition. If you want a solid list of historical references and events that shape your character, playing a human, orc or even elf would probably suit you nicely. If you want a gigantic expanse of absolutely nothing that you can proceed to fill at your leisure, you might want to look at a draenei.

Although she's not necessarily heavily involved with Draenor, Jaina Proudmoore, leader of the Kirin Tor, has made her presence known. And her current behavior is slightly confusing to those that have read the novel War Crimes, but not necessarily out of character.

So far, we seem to be taking part in a weirdly cyclical version of history, where things happen out of place and out of order from the timeline we know. But there's an undercurrent of familiarity, as if time was attempting to reassert itself.

One of the major players in Warlords has been a source of suspicious contention in my mind ever since we got a look at his new model. Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that the last major player to give us a legendary quest chain was suspicious and shady.
