Beast Mastery Hunter

Last week was pretty exciting for Hunters.

Hunters have been used to Beast Mastery, Survival, and Marksmanship as variations on the same theme and the same mechanics since, well, forever.

Soloing older raids is always something I enjoy during these slow periods at the end of the expansion.

When I look back at Warlords, my favorite moment wasn’t dinging level 100 for the first time or slaying Heroic Archimonde.

Never say never.

Previously we talked about choosing a Hunter spec for Hellfire Citadel, and last time I gave a crash course in Marksmanship for those who may be new to the spec.

With the launch of patch 6.2 imminent, it’s time to take a look at what Blizzard has in store for the three hunter specs in Hellfire Citadel. What spec will come out on top?

Blizzard has experimented with rare hunter pets in each expansion to some degree, but in Warlords a lot of those ideas seem to have been abandoned. There isn’t a single rare beast to tame in Draenor. Why?

The hunter trinkets in Warlords so far have been your standard fare -- passive stats with a proc of some kind. They’re nice DPS boosts but there’s not much fun to be had. Thankfully, things are looking a little more interesting in patch 6.2. Hellfire Citadel has 4 trinkets for hunters, and I was recently able to test them out on the PTR.
