In terms of my gaming tastes, I tend to be a bit of a contraction.

Steam NextFest was hot on the heels of Summer Game Fest, so there were plenty of new game demos to try out over the past few weeks.

December has rapidly turned into the second most-exciting month for video game news (after June and all the shows that arrive with Summer Game Fest).

Sunderfolk is the first game from former Blizzard head honcho Mike Morhaime's Dreamhaven Studios, and it's intended to be "a turn-based tactical RPG adventure for one to four players that's tailored for a deeply engaging couch co-op experience." However, it also reminds me a lot of games like Wildermyth and TTRPGs like Pugmire, Wanderhome, or even the tabletop RPG adaptation of the board game ROOT that Magpie Games is working on.

There are a few indie studios we've had our eyes on since their conception and one of them, Big Blue Sky Games, just released a teaser trailer and a bunch of art for its newly announced fantasy shop management sim, Merchants of Rosewall.
