I’m pretty sure Anachronos didn’t mean to be all meta, but I like to think we’re in agreement that Garrosh Hellscream got kind of a raw deal as a character, despite how nicely his story dovetailed in the end. Thrall, I know you’ve been gone and there are important things you’re going to be up to, but we better be getting some discussions about this at some point in the future – just saying!
Let’s get to your questions, shall we?
The Queue: Oh brother

You know, Brann’s all supportive of his brother in front of you, talking big about Magni’s sacrifice and how he’s really proud of everything he’s accomplished. But I really have to wonder — behind closed doors, was there ever a “So, my brother is a rock now I guess” conversation? I mean, all of the Bronzebeards just seem to accept this as a pretty normal occurrence.
Also, if Magni ever gets done with saving the planet and decides to settle down and start seeing people again, can we officially call it carbon dating?
I’m not sorry. Let’s get to your questions.
The Queue: A haunting reminder

A stroll around Boralus had me stumbling upon an auction that brought back a flood of memories. Who here remembers the original Haunted Memento? Originally introduced during the Scourge Invasion event that heralded the arrival of Naxxramas in patch 1.11, it gave players the Haunted buff, which would cause a Scourge Haunt to follow you around. You could also throw it to other players, which would immediately trigger the /cower animation on them. In patch 6.0, it was nerfed to trigger a random 15 second haunting instead of a constant ghostly companion. Why? Weirdly enough, because the ghost was the number one source of creature spawns in the game, and it was causing server performance degradation.
That’s a powerful ghost. Let’s get to your questions!

Hi, it’s me, the Gnome you were definitely expecting to see today. Yep, no shenanigans here! Just a good time answering questions! No, no that is not an Orb of Deception in my pocket. I have no idea what you’re talking about!

Look, I know we’re all obsessed with underwater shenanigans and mechanical hi-jinks and a faction war, but I see you, you overgrown popsicle, and I know you’re up to something. I don’t know what that something is, but I’m bracing myself for it anyway. Don’t think you’re getting by unnoticed, because I’m watching you.
I’m also watching the Queue, and now I’m answering questions!

Between Kul Tiras, Zandalar, and now Nazjatar and the sunken ruins of Zin-Azshari, this expansion feels like a love letter to the part of my brain that kept persistently asking “But what happened to x, where is it?” for all those years. I’m probably doing the PTR wrong though, because my first reaction upon arriving wasn’t “Oh look, quests!” so much as “What is that thing on the horizon” and an immediate trip to wherever that thing was, regardless of whatever happened to be in the way.
It’s okay, I’m a Rogue, I can stealth.

Do you ever wonder if C’Thun is sort of annoyed that N’Zoth decided to steal its whole “giant eyeball of unyielding gaze and limited mobility” shtick? I mean we had Yogg of the giant mouth, Y’Shaarj of the seven heads and numerous tentacles, and then…two giant eyeballs. Maybe that’s why Xal’atath was so unimpressed with N’Zoth in Legion.

I finally finished off a replay of Final Fantasy VI over the holiday weekend, after taking my time and dinking around to kit out every character with the best gear and spells. The game still totally holds up, if any of you are interested in diving into some retro gaming! It has a great story, great music, amazing characters and an opera sequence that I firmly believe everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime. Still one of my favorite FF games ever.
I should get back to Bioshock Infinite though, and finish that one off. Maybe I’ll stream that later this week, if you guys are still interested in watching me play! But for now, let’s answer your questions, shall we?
The Queue: Inexplicable chicken

Look while I appreciate how hard these guys in the image above are working, can we just address that there’s a giant leg of something that looks like chicken casually sitting there like a giant meaty paperweight? Where did it come from? What animal created this monstrosity? Who said “You know, I think for lunch today I’m gonna have a chunk of critter leg that’s bigger than my head, that sounds good?” Who took that bite? Nobody’s mouth is that big — are you guys hiding an ogre in the basement or something? Inquiring minds want to know.
Let’s see if we can answer some questions that aren’t thoroughly baffling mysteries, shall we?

You know, what with all the real dungeons Azeroth is simply chock full of, I kind of wonder what a session of Azeroth-style D&D actually looks like. Who writes the sourcebooks? Is there a special Marcus compendium somewhere that nobody talks about? Inquiring minds want to know.
