Stygia
You can now reduce the amount of Stygia you lose to deaths in the Maw
If you're like me, you hate it when you die. But even worse than just dying in World of Warcraft is dying in the Maw, especially if you've been collecting Stygia, because all that time you spent gathering that Stygia goes right out the window when you die, leaving some of that precious currency behind with your corpse.
Cinders, Knowledge, and Shards: These are all of the new currencies in patch 9.1
Shadowlands already has plenty of different currencies, and patch 9.1 will be adding a few more to go alongside the new raid and the Torghast rework.
Ve’nari rep is now account-wide, so your alts can now enjoy bonus sockets
Getting reputation with Ve'nari is a grim necessity we must all endure, because we all want sockets on our gear for gems and so forth.
Don’t bother hoarding Stygia, because Ve’nari won’t be interested in patch 9.1
If you've finished farming reputation with Ve'nari — everyone's favorite Broker-with-highly-questionable-motives — you may have done the responsible thing and started banking Stygia in anticipation of patch 9.1.
