Breakfast Topic: Would you rather not get into beta?

A couple of weeks ago, we asked how closely all of you follow betas — in short, whether or not you liked hearing about beta news. Today, we’re curious about a variation of that topic. With the Legion beta starting later today, did you opt-in? Or would you rather not see Legion before launch at all, saving every gameplay detail as a surprise for release?

Obviously, since I work here at Blizzard Watch, I have an obligation to play alphas and betas of Blizzard games to the best of my ability. It comes with the territory. When it comes to games from other companies, I do quite enjoy getting alpha/beta/early access. In those situations, however, I tend to play the betas very little — I’ll dive in for a day or two, report what bugs I see, get a feel for the game, and then check out. If I still have the itch to play when the game launches, I’ll pick it up. If that small glimmer of a game in beta didn’t keep my attention, I’ll give it a pass at launch.
