Are you ready for the next WoW expansion?

We haven’t officially been told what it will be yet, but we’re all fairly sure that there’s going to be a World of Warcraft expansion reveal at BlizzCon. This has gotten me thinking about whether or not I’m emotionally ready to move on from Legion. I haven’t even gotten into Antorus yet, but it’s coming — the raid is being tested on the PTR right as I type this. So there’s this feeling of a freight train bearing down on us — at least for me.

With Antorus comes — as far as I know — the end of the Legion storyline, and the seeds seem to be sown for whatever we’re getting next. I expect Antorus the week after BlizzCon to get Blizzard back to their desks in time to work fully on it, so that means we’ll likely already know what the next expansion is going to be even as we dive into Antorus.

And that has me feeling a touch conflicted. I’m not sure I’m ready to find out whether we’ll be going to fight Old Gods, healing a wounded Azeroth in the aftermath of the Legion invasion, fighting pirates, or exploring strange new world. Whatever it’s going to be, it’s going to be something new, and I’m strangely content with my Legion experience.

This may be the first expansion ever where I’m not eager for it to end. I could keep going with this, ultimately. I like my Artifact, my class Order Hall — it’s all pretty excellent, in my opinion. I’m a little afraid of the new right now because I don’t know what it will be.

But that’s just me. How are you feeling about it? Are you well past done with demons and want to get to the next chapter? Are you ready for the new expansion?
