My beloved Overwatch League underdogs, the Shanghai Dragons, are back on stage tomorrow facing off against the San Francisco Shock. They’re doomed, but I’m trying very hard to hold on to hope. It’s not working, but I am trying.
But since I can’t do anything besides wave my tiny Dragons flag, let’s move on to something I can do: the news.
About the Dragons…
- While team newcomer Geguri hasn’t been on the OWL stage due to visa issues, it hasn’t stopped her from playing: she’s already mastered Brigette.
And about Brigitte…
- If you haven’t already been on the PTR to check out the game’s latest hero, you should be. Blizzard wants your feedback on how Brigette plays.
Today on Know Your Lore
- Rossi is talking about the Draenei and the Naaru.
Were you missing your mission table?
- Probably not, since we can’t seem to get rid of the dang things. And now it looks like they’ll be joining us in Battle for Azeroth, too. Two expansions past the garrison, maybe it’s finally time for addons like Garrison Mission Manager to change their name.
Diablo 3 fixed public matchmaking, but broke everything else
- The latest Diablo 3 season has gotten off to a rocky start. First there was a bug preventing public groups of more than two players….
- …then they fixed the bug, but it wasn’t actually fixed for everyone…
- …then they broke the game entirely, but you can fix it by reinstalling specific Microsoft C++ Redistributable files…
- …and public matchmaking still doesn’t work for everyone. I’m sitting here with popcorn waiting to see what happens next with this one.
File under rumor
- Is Diablo 3 coming to the Nintendo Switch? Maybe. (As a personal note, everyone on the Blizzard Watch team is excited about this except me. In fact, I’m going to be really annoyed if all of Blizzard’s hiring for a secret Diablo project was to port it to a new console instead of making new content. I just want something new to do! Is that too much to ask? Apparently.)
Finally! A bug that’s actually fixed!
- Hearthstone Ranked Play is back, and everyone will soon get three Kobolds and Catacombs card packs as an apology for the downtime.
For the Blizzard Watch watchers
- You’ve probably noticed some bizarro ad placement on the site, and we’re going to have some downtime this weekend to (hopefully) fix it. I’m not sure when this will happen, though, because it’s at the whim of Adam’s schedule.
That’s it for today, folks! We’ll be back next week with more news (and hopefully fewer ads). This is Liz, heading off to the weekend.
