Attention BlizzCon 2018 virtual ticket holders — if you missed the announcement yesterday evening, we’re here to tell you World of Warcraft Classic demo test is now available for download!

Over the next 24 hours, we’ll be enabling the ability to download the WoW Classic demo through the Battle.net app for players who have purchased the BlizzCon Virtual Ticket, as well as standard BlizzCon ticket holders who have added their Virtual Ticket Goodies code to their Battle.net account. If you don’t see the option to install the demo right away, don’t worry – you’ll still have plenty of time to download the client before the demo goes live during BlizzCon next week.

We can’t wait for you to get a peek at what we’ve been working on, and hope you enjoy this preview of what’s to come!

The WoW community has been grumbling about the lack of amenities with a virtual ticket. There’s no pet, or mount, or a toy like there has been in years past. We get faction cloaks and that’s about it. Um…okay. If you play other Blizzard properties the other items offered do look intriguing. I’m going to have to log into Heroes of the Storm to see all things shark, for sure.

If you’ve already purchased the virtual ticket, the demo will be on your Battle.net screen. You should be able to start the download now — or very soon. There is still time — if you are so inclined — to get in on the Classic demo. Just buy the virtual ticket and go to your account on Battle.net to make sure the demo is attached.

While we do know there will be some restrictions on how much you can play the Classic demo in one sitting, there is still no word on how long you’ll be able to play in one session or how long you’ll have to wait after a session before you can log in again. It’s likely this will all be determined by server load and the popularity of the demo itself. Still, it’s smart to prepare yourself for a lengthy wait. Ah, the return of, “you are number 745 in the login queue.”

Excited? Going to log in the first time you can? What are you going to try first?
