What was your most memorable BlizzCon 2018 moment?

BlizzCon this year had many surprises. From Chris Metzen’s appearance at the WoW Q&A panel to Laura Bailey singing “Daughter of the Sea” live, there were quite a few iconic moments this last weekend in Anaheim. Which one was it for you? Was it a reveal at a panel (mechanical Gnomes!) or the introduction of a new character (oh, Ashe, you stole our hearts)? Or perhaps it was a record-making victory like the first non-Korean player to win the StarCraft world title? Or the chance to log in to WoW Classic to be engulfed by all nostalgia feels?

For me it was meeting Chris Metzen in person for the first time. In all the years I’ve covered WoW for this site (11+ years now for both incarnations) and all the BlizzCons I’ve attended (six I think now), I’ve never had a chance to meet the man whose vision helped make World of Warcraft possible. He was gracious and kind (and complimented our site!). It was a moment I’ll remember for quite a time to come.

What moment for you stood out about BlizzCon 2018?
