New items on the Black Market Auction House include some very sought after shoulders
The long-awaited Bee mount and Goblin and Worgen model improvements aren’t the only updates coming to patch 8.2.5. Madame Goya and her Black Market Auction House are getting some fancy new items. She’s been searching far and wide — even as far as the alternate timeline Draenor — to make sure that her wares are the finest in all of Azeroth.
A whopping 13 new mounts are being added. Everything from the Grand Black War Mammoth from Archavon’s Vault, all the way up to the Felsteel Annihilator from Mythic Archimonde. For people who are after some hard to get weapon enchants, you’ll be able to buy the weapon enchants from Winter’s Veil and The Midsummer Fire Festival. It’ll look like you’re swinging around the coolest weapons this side of Kalimdor.
The mounts and weapon illusions are neat, but I’ve saved the best auctions for last. Transmog enthusiasts everywhere will have their shot at buying Garrosh’s Tusks of Mannoroth, Xavius’ Spaulders of the First Satyr, and all of Ordos’ items that can transmogged. Provided, of course, that you have the millions of gold that these will probably sell for.
With how rare those shoulders can be, I wouldn’t be surprised if they go for at least a couple million gold. I know personally I’ve put at least a hundred kills into Garrosh — just on my Paladin. That’s not even counting my Death Knight or my Warrior, and I only have one of each of those. There are players out there running Garrosh ten times a week or more, and they still don’t have them either.
I don’t know what it is about the fancy plate shoulders and not being able to get them. I’ve seen way more people who have gotten the Xavius shoulders than Garrosh’s iconic Tusks. My guild master Justus is the only person on my whole friends list who has Garrosh’s shoulders, and we all know how long Rossi has been hunting for the shoulders named after him. Plus I haven’t seen anyone at all running around with the Pauldrons of Za’qul from Azshara’s Eternal Palace.
It’s interesting to see that all of the items added to the BMAH in this batch are still available in-game, although if you didn’t play during Mists of Pandaria you might not have finished the legendary cape questline that was necessary to fight Ordos. With the raised gold cap it’s not unusual to see big-ticket items like the Swift Zulian Tiger and Plagued Proto-Drake sell for 6-7 million gold, but both of those are only obtainable from the BMAH now. I can’t see these going for quite as much. But if they ever added the original Corrupted Ashbringer or Black Qiraji Resonating Crystal I’d expect both to hit the 10 million cap instantly.
