How much are you willing to pay for the end-of-expansion mount and Ahead of the Curve achievement?

The Uncorrupted Voidwing is a quest reward for defeating N’zoth on Heroic or Mythic difficulty in Ny’alotha, and it will be available until the launch of Shadowlands. Trade Chat is full of people spamming carries for gold. The question is, how much gold is this mount worth to you?

Early in 8.3, carries for a Heroic N’zoth kill were going for 500k gold. Prices have decreased over the course of the patch, however. On a North America server, I was able to find this for 150k gold on the Alliance. Looking at past mounts, the Grove Warden from Hellfire Citadel sold for around 30k gold, while the Violet Spellwing from Antorus bottomed out at around 200k gold. It may not be a coincidence, but these were very close to the gold prices of a WoW Token at the same time.

Alternatively, there is a free option via communities like Perky Pugs, which do free raffles. Players sign up, take their character to the raid, and wait for their name to be called for a carry. This can take hours — sometimes weeks — of waiting before their name is called. In other words, players are spending time, rather than gold, for their mount. Time is money, friend.

Then there is always the old-fashioned method, earning it — no carry. Raid your way to the mount. And the Ahead of the Curve achievement. And all of the gear along the way. This takes a lot more time and effort as well as a lot of repair bills. But the greater the effort, the sweeter the reward.

How about you? How much gold, time, or effort have you been willing to spend for the end-of-expansion mount and Ahead of the Curve achievement? How many from previous expansions do you have?
