Who are you rooting for in the Race to World First?

It’s time for the Mythic Race to World First! Teams from around the world will be assaulting the Jailer’s forces in the Sanctum of Domination and doing their best to stop Sylvanas from carrying out the Jailer’s terrible plans. Over the next couple of weeks, we’ll be able to watch guilds like Complexity-Limit, Echo, Method, Team Aster, FatSharkYes, BDGG, and more will spend millions of gold and use thousands of consumable items to try and be the first team in the world to the top.

But with so many teams competing how can you possibly choose who you want to win?

Do you cheer for the returning champions Complexity-Limit? They’re looking really strong from their runs through Normal and Heroic Sanctum of Domination. They’ve certainly proven over the last two races that they have what it takes to get the kills and make the plays. Or do you cheer for Echo who came in second by just the slimmest margins back in Castle Nathria. All they needed was that one perfect pull and they could’ve had Sire Denathrius dead before Limit did. Maybe you’re going old school and cheering for Pieces or Method, guilds that have been around forever and have numerous first kills behind them.

I’m cheering for them all. I can’t help myself, they’ve all put in so much work to get ready that I just want them all to succeed and get the Sylvanas kill simultaneously. Will that happen? Probably not, but think of how nice that’d be!

I do know that the community is already winning in a big way. Echo and Complexity-Limit have partnered up to raise money for the mental health charity RAD. You can buy a charity collab shirt with both of their logos on it to help support the charity, or donate directly to their event. If they raise enough money the guild leaders for each guild will have to wear each other’s jerseys during the event. Method is also raising money for the mental health charity Mind. The RWF events have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for worthy causes in the past and I’m happy to see them continuing to do so.

How about you, do you have a favorite team? Do you always cheer for the underdog in these events because you like the comeback story? Are you just happy to watch the event no matter who wins?
