Get ready for a return to Pandaria! WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria starts on May 16, 2024!

World of Warcraft patch 10.2.7 adds WoW’s first “timerunning” event with WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria. It’s madness, it’s chaos, dare we say it’s… Pandamonium? We now know patch 10.2.7 launches May 7, 2024, and ReMists, as we call it, will arrive the week after: WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria will be live on May 16, 2024.

We first learned of ReMists in December 2023 with the release of the 2024 roadmap. At the time, all Executive Producer Holly Longdale referred to this mode (labeled Timerunning: Pandamonium) and the mysterious black pirate flag of patch 10.2.6 as “a few new twists” coming with Dragonflight Season 4. Now we know that This new game mode will give us all a chance to experience Pandaria again or for the first time with a new character and an accelerated leveling pace.

WoW Remix will allow us to play through everything Pandaria has to offer as an accelerated leveling experience: you’ll play from level 10 to 70 purely in Mists of Pandaria content, with the chance to run through all the dungeons, scenarios, and raids along the way. Along the way, you’ll collect interesting new powers and plenty of new mounts and transmog appearances — many alternate colors of Mists gear. It should be a fun way to level an alt (or new main) to be ready to play in The War Within when it comes out later this year.

May 16 makes a lot of sense as far as release dates go. It gives players a full cycle through the Awakened raids of Season 4 and time to earn dinar Antique Bronze Bullion, but not so much time that players are getting antsy for The War Within‘s pre-patch after running Awakened raids over and over. It’ll also help out the poor network team who need to worry about getting Cataclysm Classic launched the following week. Those who get tired of Awakened Raids or don’t plan to participate in Cata Classic right away will have time to spin up a shiny new level 10 alt and use this period to blast their way through Mists.
