How are you preparing for the arrival of Warbands next week?

Next week brings The War Within pre-patch aka patch 11.0.1 and while there’s a lot arriving with the patch it’s also bringing one of the most anticipated features in Warcraft history: Warbands. With Warbands (most) reputation will be shared across your characters, you’ll be able to easily transfer some currency among your toons, and there’s a new shared bank for everyone one on your account — and we mean everyone. So with a week to go, how are you getting ready for Warbands?

One of the things I’ve been doing for the past few weeks is not selling gear I couldn’t unlock the appearance of, as Warbands will let characters unlock any transmog for your account including class set tokens. While I haven’t been tempted to use the Item Restoration feature just yet, if you remember vending any important gear you couldn’t unlock the appearance of recently you may want to get those items back so you’ll have them with the patch.

Because the nature of the Warband conversion is strenuous, Blizzard has announced they’re going to temporarily turn off character undeletes for a couple weeks after patch 11.0.1 goes live. However until that time it appears the seven-day cooldown on character undeletes has been removed — you can undelete all your characters if you want (up to the account character limit, of course)! So I’ve restored a few dozen characters recently, as I’ll be able to take advantage of the Warbands feature to grab currency and maybe some items from them I wasn’t previously able to do anything with. While I doubt I’ll be keeping all of them around for the long term, my Timewalking Badge stockpile is definitely about to grow tremendously.
