Where to watch the Nerub-ar Palace Race to World First, starting next week!

Welcome to the first World of Warcraft: The War Within Race to World First! The Nerub-ar Palace Race to World First starts when the raid’s Mythic difficulty opens on September 17. As always, there are many viewing options if you, like many of us, want to follow the competition. Neurb-ar Palace is the first raid of The War Within and has eight bosses for guilds to defeat as they battle to become the first Famed Slayer of Ansurek.

Guilds are dipping their toes in Normal and Heroic difficulty this week following the raid opening on Tuesday, learning fights, while gearing up through Mythic dungeons on top of their Nerub-ar Palace runs. Ansurek lasted a whole day in Normal difficulty, with CN guild Nicewater clearing her a day later. However, some of the most prominent guilds have been sitting on the sidelines for Heroic runs while some players wait out a 4-day suspension after leveraging a Renown exploit.

Here are some of the biggest names participating in this season’s race, and where you can watch the action live once the latest Race to World First starts.

Team Liquid (NA)

Team Liquid played world-first ping-pong last expansion with their contemporaries in EU’s Echo guild. Their professional players (led by Maximum), analysts, and casters are ready to bring the activities in Nerub-ar Palace to us from California as they help raise money for the Santa Monica Animal Shelter Foundation. Is it their turn to come out on top? Find out on their Twitch streams, and support their fundraising goals by donating.

Echo (EU)

After trading the world first with Team Liquid all through Dragonflight, Echo will work to hold onto their Fyrakk title belt by giving it their all in Nerub-ar Palace. Echo recently partnered with Maxroll to produce guides for The War Within; while there are no questions about their class mastery, will they be able to deliver another World First title? The EU guild will come to us from the SK Gaming facility in Germany, advertised as their largest in-person live event with 19 players and seven casters.

Method (EU)

After a spell of third place rankings during Dragonflight, Method is ready to grab that World First title that’s eluded the team since its 2020 rebuild. The team will return to 1337 Camp in Germany, with 14 Method raiders joining from the venue and eight casters. Don’t forget to check out their WeakAuras, raid guides, and Raid Tools addon for your raiding adventures!

Dungeon Dojo

Dungeon Dojo popped up during the Amirdrassil Race to World First as a community stream highlighting some of the other guilds without formal events organized. They’re back for Nerub-ar Palace (click through to watch their lovely trailer on X) in partnership with Guilds of WoW and Raider.IO, supporting Make-a-Wish International. Watch their stream for guilds like Honolulu, Northern Sky, Undaunted, Nascent, Prydaz, Laget, and more! Make sure to catch their streams to support smaller guild and a great cause.

With the details on the Ansurek fight just coming out, there are plenty of unknowns going into Nerub-ar Palace, and this experience is compounded for the RWF raiders. Will Liquid hop back into the spotlight on this fight? Will Echo earn two world firsts in a row? Perhaps Method will continue its upward trend by hopping into that world-first chair? Or maybe we’ll see a smaller group take the title from the titans — who knows! We’ll find out next week.
