The Queue: Queen Sweep

After complaining for the past 10 days that I hadn’t gotten any of the mounts (I’m including the Renewed Proto-Drake Love Armor in that category) I finally had RNG on my side and got the Love Witch Sweeper yesterday. While not as prestigious as the X-45 Heartbreaker it is a nice addition to my mount collection. Inspired by this success I decided to take all my alts through the Crown Chemical Co. fight to see if I could get the Armor or Heartbreaker with low odds — with the promise that whichever character landed me either would get priority with leveling and gearing for the rest of the expansion!
Sadly my offer was refused and I got zilch. On the plus side I had a little time to get my characters cleaned up while waiting in queue, and I even discovered a level 70 toon that had really, really bad gear for their level and wasn’t even a member of my guild, the Undeleted. I’ve mostly rectified the issues, but I’m disappointed the attention didn’t get me a mount. Ah well, there’s still a week of attempts left.
While I sit in queue waiting to be disappointed, let’s answer some questions!
QftQ: How often do you change your characters’ titles?
Not very often, to be honest. Part of the reason is that titles are part of how I view my characters so it’d take a shift in that backstory for me to consider a new title. That happens though! Especially as the story evolves over time I may get a new title that I feel works for the character.
Except my Warlocks. Every single one I have ever created or will ever create will be “of the Black Harvest”. I worked too dang hard on that title not to use it.
Let’s say WoW housing gets expanded and you’re able to live anywhere, and you want to live on a lake. Where’s your new home?
It depends on whether the current map represents reality; in other words: is Loch Modan still drained? It’s feasible that the Dwarves have rebuilt the dam since the Cataclysm — especially considering they probably built it for a reason in the first place — and if that’s the case then Loch Modan is the clear and easy winner. Unfortunately Exploring Azeroth: The Eastern Kingdoms didn’t visit the zone so we don’t have an update.
So since we don’t know the status of Loch Modan, I’m going to choose Ashwood Lake in Grizzly Hills. It’s one of my favorite zones, and the Ashwood section is a lot quieter than some of the other rambunctious areas of the zone.
Additional question, not counting Ashkandi ( looking at Rossi ) what weapon, or armor, or special something do you want to be able to put up in your wow home? and on the opposite end, what would be the thing that you put up only to make your partner happy?
It’s a great question so I thought all of three seconds before deciding on the answer: Arathar, the Eye of Flame. Defeating Ragnaros in Cataclysm was the first time I overcame an end boss as a raider, and getting the bow (I was the only Hunter) was a nice memento for the encounter.
It also works because I typically use guns instead of bows as a dwarf so it makes sense that Arathar remains on my wall. Other weapons I wouldn’t want to mount in case I need to use them!
As for what I’d only put up to make my partner happy: suits of armor. I’m not a fan. They get dusty, and you gotta get a mannequin or rack to put them on. Individual pieces like a belt or helm are ok, but the full outfit? Nah that should stay in a closet.
How would you divide every class between draenei and night elf?
Obviously Night Elf is the choice for Druid and Demon Hunter. Except for Hunter, the remaining classes that could go either way I’d definitely give every caster and healing spec to Draenei. Melee dps/tank specs would go to Night Elf with the exception of Draenei as a Titan’s Grip Fury Warrior.
That leaves Hunter, and my suggestion for that is: both. Night Elf have a great bow animation, but the other ranged animations look better on Draenei. Night Elf is probably better as a Survival Hunter, but Draenei isn’t bad. So while you wouldn’t go wrong with either, your best bet is one of each.
Best location in Azeroth for a peaceful Valentine’s Day date?
Best location in Azeroth for an exciting Valentine’s Day date?
What’s your limit for considering outside temperatures too cold?
Anything in particular you are hoping to see in the PlayStation Direct?
Q4tQ: Which WoW character would you want to have negotiate a business deal on your behalf?
- “Peaceful”? On Azeroth? That’s a tall order! I’d say your best bet is one of the major cities or Bel’amath. Stormwind has the boats and is relatively peaceful or if you’re a Horde player Thunder Bluff is likely a calm and nice spot. If your relationship is cross-factional, perhaps Suramar City would be most accommodating.
- Darkmoon Faire! There are amusement rides, there are fireworks, there’s music and games and great food and drinks to buy. Unfortunately the Faire is never available at the same time as Valentine’s Day. I wonder what the deal with Gallywix’s Pleasure Palace is now that he’s left the Horde? That could be exciting if still in operation.
- Once the temperature drops below zero Fahrenheit is when I technically give up, but honestly once below freezing I try to avoid being outside too long unless I need to be out there. Honestly though I’d rather be out in 0-10 degree sunny temps than in 30-40 degree rainy temps.
- Atlus still hasn’t announced anything upcoming so any word from them. I don’t care if it’s Persona 6 or P5X getting release dates in other regions or a new title entirely, I just want some news! Unfortunately, Atlus (and their parent company Sega) may still be in a deal with Microsoft for game announcements, or they may be waiting for the Switch 2 announcement to piggy back on it. So I don’t have any real hope, but I’m dreaming. Failing that, maybe a new game in the Horizon: Zero Dawn series?
- Garrosh. I’m very much a “good cop” kind of negotiator, so if it’s an important deal I need someone who just oozes “bad cop”.
thinking about Arthonos question, which WoW character would have the worst translation of its abilities into a normal world?
Malfurion. There’s just not much call for someone who can turn into a horned chicken man, and all that time spent sleeping isn’t very helpful in the modern world.
How are you enjoying Rift of the Necrodancer? Thoughts on the game? Still playing after beating story mode?
I’m enjoying it a lot! The regular rhythm fights are fun, and the minigames are a blast. My least favorite aspect is the boss battles as their mechanic — while resembling Elite Beat Agents, a favorite of mine — doesn’t really mesh well.
I haven’t had a chance to really explore the other features as I’m focused on other games that I want to complete, but I do plan on playing more when I have time. May not be until next month, but I expect to put a lot more hours into it.
Could you take the head religious figure of the last game you played in a fight in a Wendy’s parking lot?
First off, I live in the South and am a professional so it’d be a Waffle House parking lot. Since I’m still playing Metaphor: ReFantazio I’ll go with Sanctifex Forden and I think I could take him — he’s on the old side. Hopefully I don’t find out later in the game that he has powers or something because then I would be slaughtered.
Who would you (or your main, or your alts, whatever) give valentines to in WoW?
There’s a long answer that would involve numerous people across all of Azeroth and Draenor, and a short answer that encompasses all of one person. In the interest of space and affection, I’ll go with the latter. My favorite bread vendor, Myra Tyrngaarde.

That’s all the time and space we have for questions today, so please ask plenty of questions for Matt tomorrow! Have a great day, and be good to yourself and others!
